09-04-2025Out of the blue last year, I developed an allergy to fluoride that sent me on a hunt for flouride-free toothpaste. I found Boka and really loved the scientific evidence of hydroxyapatite for cavity prevention as well as the fact that this brand didn’t use any artificial flavors or colors in their product. This is my 2nd time purchasing Boka toothpaste. My first purchase was the Ela Mint, which I give a 5/5. Unfortunately, the Coco Ginger flavor is really lacking in sudsing action compared to the mint. As far as whitening goes, I haven’t really noticed any changes, though that’s not something I’m really interested in nor pay attention to, as my teeth look fine IMO. It still does the job of cleaning my teeth and making my breath feel fresh, but I prefer Ela Mint.

> 3 dayI cut dyes out of my daughters foods, but never thought to look into other products. Well recently I became aware that toothpaste has not only dyes, but SLS (sodium laurel sulfate). Ive always known that toothpaste has a neurotoxin known as flouride, but not how it could be effecting my toddlers teeth. After we started using flouride (about 18 months old, when she could understand you cant swallow the toothpaste) she developed dark staining on her front two teeth. I immediately took her to the dentist, and they told me it was from sugar sitting on her teeth after nursing. I never argued that, until we switched to BOKA. A month after boka, my girls staining was less noticeable. My husband also uses this kind because mint makes him gag (on the spectrum) and he says his teeth have never felt so clean. I have ocd with my teeth, and this is the first Flouride-free paste that feels like it cleans my teeth well. No grittyness or film is leftover. I have always suffered from sensitive teeth, and our dds has suggested letting sensodyne sit on my teeth. Again, I never questioned it. After 2 months of using boka, I dont even think twice about eating ice cream or drinking a cold drink. Our dds confirmed that our teeth are in tip top shape, and a soft spot I had last visit (6 mos ago) is no longer soft, just dark. After our exam, I told her we switched to flouride free and she was speechless. I have never in my life gotten a good report at the dds, and always chalked it up to bad genetics- after all I brush and floss at least 2x a day! This stuff is a miracle product, I tell everyone to switch from traditional toothpaste!!!! Wish it was available in stores, hopefully I can recruit enough customers that it will be!

> 3 dayNot a fan of the flavor but I still like it nonetheless. Rebought in a new flavor and it’s much better. But would still recommend for the hydroxypatite

> 3 dayI ordered all three to try the different flavors. They are all nice if you like the actual flavor. Mint tastes like what youd expect toothpaste to taste like. The Coco Ginger, if you like ginger, is very good. I was super impressed with the lemon lavender as its light and refreshing.

> 3 dayLove their toothpaste but only get it through Amazon when it’s in stock. Ordering through Boka is a joke, will take a minimum of two weeks to receive or more if you check other reviews out there, for some it’s insanely worse. Boka’s customer service is also non existent so if you order through them you may be out of luck. If other manufacturers start introducing more toothpastes with hydroxyapatite that aren’t some form of mint (hate mint), I’d switch but Boka unfortunately has the only game in town with unique flavors. I want to try their coconut ginger and lemon lavender but it’s been well over a week since I ordered directly through Boka and they’ve not processed or shipped my order yet so maybe one day I’ll get to try them.

> 3 dayI like this brand of toothpaste, so far no issues with my teeth. Tartar control is so far ok in comparison to name brands. However, Ive had no pains in my teeth from using this product. I would prefer the mint flavor. This flavor is hard to get used to. I gagged the first couple of times.

> 3 dayThe coconut ginger flavor is milder than I expected but that also means that my son can use this too (he doesn’t like a standard strong Monty toothpaste much). This left my teeth feeling cleaner, looking whiter and my breath smelling better. I have been having a little sensitivity due to some unaddressed cavities and this has helped with sensitivity much more than the toothpaste I was using before. I also really enjoy the packaging. I am looking forward to using this up and trying one of the other flavors!

> 3 dayHave been using Boca for awhile but this is the first time to review it. What I like about Boca first is that its fluoride free. Many dont know that this is considered a chemical, something I try to avoid. Cant speak for the remineralizing but perhaps it protects my teeth more than realized. It is pleasant tasting leaving my teeth and mouth feeling fresh and clean. Use it with an electric toothbrush that only requires a dab and tube lasts much longer than most toothpastes Ive used in the past so price wise its worth it. It also sits upright on the counter in a solid tube making it convenient and without much of a mess, and you dont have to squeeze and fold the tube to get more toothpaste out of it. Works well for me.

> 3 dayIve been using Boka for over a year after hearing a dentist recommend it. I really enjoy it and prefer the mint flavor
