Like many reviews here, Im over 50, and have been using these since my teens! No idea why theyre so hard to find in stores these days. I use with a moisturizing soap (Ivory, Oil of Olay, etc) and my skin feels great. Honestly, better then when Ive paid for expensive exfoliations. Only negative is any time people ask what I use, they laugh and ask if Im stuck in the 80s!

Its great for exfoliating your face, they should make a larger one for your body.

I have been using Buf Puf as a shower sponge to exfoliate and clean my whole body (not just my face) since I was in high school (so about 40 years now). Nothing else compares. If I ever run out, or maybe forget to pack the buf puf when traveling, I hate how a regular wash cloth or just soap and hands doesnt keep my face skin exfoliated - the dead layers of skin start to build up and it doesnt feel clean. Buf puf doesnt exfoliate as much as say, a turkish mitt, but its just right for daily cleaning.

Ive been using these sponges for my face for years now. I know this is part of the reason (besides genetics) that my skin is so young looking. Its the exfoliation of the skin that really helps with the lines and wrinkles. I let the sponge do the work. I do not press hard when the sponge is brand new. I just use small circular motion as I go around my whole face, especially my forehead which can take a little more scrubbing than the rest of the skin on my face. And I never forget my neck. Ladies, dont neglect your neck! I actually gave one to my boyfriend to use and he loved it. He said the skin on his face never felt so clean and refreshed. He started buying them for himself! Ive had other guy friends tell me I dont use that girly stuff. What?! LoL! Anyone can use these sponges to shower and to wash your face. They do have a body sponge that I use with the back scrubber. Love that sponge also!
