This is a must have if youre interested in removing the hitch from your truck from time to time. Im in my 50s, and cannot hump the hitch these days without some injury. I use this with a chain hoist, and its excellent for lifting/re-installing the hitch from my truck. Gives me my truck bed back when I need it.

I had no notion this item existed. Boy, am I glad I saw it on Amazon! Much easier and safer to use than the gerry rigged strap solution Id come up with!

This was one of the best investments you can buy with a 5th wheel hitch , both hitch, and lifting tool made in America . Lifting the hitch into the back of the truck was painless !

Wow ; why didnt I think of that ! Been usin chains or cables bolted to fifth wheel for years to put in or take out hitch , this little device rocks!

As an older guy, I used to remove my B&W Patriot hitch from the bed of my truck in one of two ways. Sometimes I would remove the top part and then the bottom part so I could remove them separately so it wasnt so heavy. Other times, I would wrap a strap around the whole hitch and using an electric winch that I have attached to a joist in my garage, lift it out. This way was sometimes challenging because the hitch wasnt balanced and the tabs that fit into the rails would bind up and wouldnt come out. Neither way was ideal. The B&W Fifth Wheel Hitch Lifting Device works great! It took seconds to attach to the jaws and when I lifted it out with my winch is was balanced well so the hitch came out of the rail slots perfectly. I then set it down on a wood dolly and rolled it to where I store it when not in use. Its a little pricey for what it is and what it does but Im very glad I bought it. I left it in the hitch jaws so when I want to put the hitch back in my truck, its ready to go. Im very glad I bought it!

Purchased chain hoist from HF, hung from heavy chain in my shop. Lifts my B&W Companion sliding hitch effortlessly, lowers to heavy duty 4 wheeled dolly and stays there until I reverse the process. High quality, highly recommend. Great company!
