These have thick velcro wrist straps and a nice even feeling padding in front of the fist. They work great for heavy bag and sparring gloves. The thumb is sewn in place. Im happy with these overall!

Unboxing: Packaging seems to follow industry standard as they were shipped in a reusable storage bag with mesh outlining. Gloves seemed to be well made as the Velcro was strong and the padding within the gloves seemed durable. First Impressions: I had the 14oz glove model. Upon putting the gloves on, I noticed quite a bit of wiggle room in the thumb section of the glove which could be a result of my hand size. Putting them on felt excellent, the main portion of the glove was form fitting, and the bar that is sometimes around the fingertips was well placed and soft. Usage: I tested these gloves with 15 minutes of pad work and three rounds of sparring all done without wraps. The balance of the gloves was very nice, as I did not feel as if I would lose control over my strikes. Throughout the rounds, there was not a single instance of my gloves coming lose which I ascribe to the design of the internal compartments of the glove itself and the overall construction of wrist straps. I felt that they were well suited for sparring, and flexible enough to do other calisthenics like burpees and push-ups while wearing them.

After a decision to get back into martial arts (20 years), I needed new equipment as I sold off the old. Came across these gloves after someone suggested them. They recommended the 12 oz. Fit great. As Im waiting for the heavy bag to arrive, I couldnt sit any longer! I started beating on anything that I could! 2x4s, garage supports, trees, walls. Most anything with resistance. My hands are fine, the gloves look new. If I can add a picture later, I will. Train hard guys, these will take you through that journey!

I take a kickboxing class and do a lot of bag work. These gloves are great, and easy to clean.

I got these gloves for hitting the heavy bag at the gym. I used them for the first time today and was very pleased with my purchase! Good gloves make a huge difference in hitting a bag! I ordered the lightest (10 oz.) because I dont plan on doing any sparring or fighting. I wanted fully enclosed, boxing style gloves instead of open finger, MMA-style gloves for the heavy bag to protect my fingers/hands from injury. I broke a thumb in a fight a few years ago (my own bad form) and dont want to take a chance of injuring myself again. The attached thumb will protect your thumb from sticking out or snagging on the bag (or opponent.) Additionally, the enclosed style is conducive to making a solid fist and protects your fingers from injury. All my fight training is from my time in the military, and I have very limited formal boxing training, so I was happy to find that that BYAKKO Sports has free training information on their facebook and blog. I definitely recommend these gloves! They are high-quality, durable, well crafted, and they look cool!

Blown away by these gloves. I’ve used Fairtex, Twins and Windy gloves over the past 15 years and recently Hayabusa but they don’t seem to last long and soften in the knuckles too fast while costing a fortune, so I gave these a try after trying on one of my students. So far I’m really impressed, I got the 10oz for bag and pad work and they are really well made, the gloves feel solid and feel really snug and protected, especially with wraps on. Normally I have to use a cut up sponge added inside the glove when I’m working the heave bag but I think the shape and fit of these protects my knuckles more so I haven’t needed to. Highly recommend!

These gloves are fantastic. Really great leather quality, comfortable, stylish, and the velcro straps are easy to use - whats not to love?! Im a medium build adult male and the 14oz gloves are the perfect fit for me. I bought the matching Byakko hand wraps and theyre really good too. Nice to have the blue wraps with the matching blue gloves. I bought them for punch bag fitness training, Ive had three sessions so far and experienced no problems. Highly recommended.

The Byakko boxing gloves I recently purchased have exceeded all my expectations. Despite being offered at a budget-friendly price, the gloves deliver unbeatable quality, comfort, and protection. This is a great set of gloves at a pretty affordable price. They are comfortable to wear and use on the heavy bag. Wrist support is good enough. I just hit the bag at home, so I cant say how well they will protect your sparring partners faces. Great value in set of gloves!

Durable, no laces great for sparring, most brands are overpriced I have to say great Quality for a great price
