Greater than one weekI’m a little disappointed. I bought it as a birthday gift for someone and when I opened it up to check it before I wrapped it, I noticed that it was all scuffed up, and it had scratches all over the top and bottom. If I had an alternate gift I would have returned it. It honestly looked used and the mirror on the inside was dirty and when I tried to clean it there’s a smudge on there that wouldn’t come clean... like maybe it was the adhesive that keeps the mirror on the case. I’m so disappointed and sad that I have to gift it this way. I was gonna buy 2 more but not to sure now.

11-04-2025I am very disappointed! The item was dirty and covered with black marks. It looks like it came from a yard sale and was a dirty used item. I would send it back but I do not have time to get another one before my trip.

> 3 dayi always wanted one of these as a kid! i am obsessed with everything kitschy and tacky and this baby fits right in. i got this one because i needed something to keep my meds and little personal doodads that i routinely need during the day in while quarantining at home that, out in the pre-covid real world, i would usually carry in a purse. yes, i am definitely one of the people who carry a big huge purse everywhere, if u couldn’t tell... but idk carrying a purse around the house seems stupid? but on the other hand, i kept misplacing my stuff, like my lens cloth and lip balm and my apple pencil and earplugs. maybe carting this caboodle around the house with me is also stupid but it is cheerful and happy and makes me happy. my only gripe is the logo on the front latch came glued on all jacked up and i almost messed it up bending it all up trying to peel it off to place it correctly. and it still doesn’t look RIGHT but looks better than it did, i guess. so that was a bummer.

> 3 dayIm 38, and I still own the original peach Caboodles that my parents gave me for Christmas 30 years ago when I was 8-years-old. That box has obviously seen a little wear and tear from all of the years that it has been around, but for the most part it still looks amazing given its age. Its sturdy and well-made, and after all that time only slightly faded. Honestly that 30-year-old box that I treasured and used a great deal is in better condition than the new one that I bought for my niece for Christmas this year. These new ones are cute and a great blast from the past kind of thing, but in terms of actually getting any real use out of them, they are awful. Made of cheap, flimsy plastic that doesnt look like it will hold up to regular use for very long. My recommendation is that if you want to buy one because its a cute throwback to your childhood or teenage years then great, but just be aware that what you are getting isnt nearly as good as the ones you grew up with. Honestly, Id suggest hitting up eBay, Poshmark, etsy, etc. to find a vintage one thats in good condition over buying one of these new ones. The old models are tried and true, while these new ones fail in every area but cuteness and nostalgia.
