Cabosil - Fumed Silica Thickener in Quart Tub

Thickened up the gel coat to make repairs to my boat ... worked very good..

It did exactly what I bought it for.

Bought to thicken epoxy and liquid hide glue. Worked well for both to reduce excessive squeeze out and running in complex joints. Did not affect set time.

Added to epoxy resin to thicken mix. Worked well to stop mixture from running on vertical surfaces.

I used this with epoxy to thicken it. It did work but it didn’t dry clear almost an off white color. Not sure if that’s normal or not. It worked for what I needed to get done.

Mixes very well with resin. Perfect for crafting and much more cost effective than other products.

I used this to make ceramic blanket rigidizer. Be careful how much water you add, start with the powder and add just enough water so that it will spray. It worked pretty well as a rigidizer.

I needed to fill holes in Banksia handles I was making. The Cabosil worked fine for my project. It is light and fluffy so precautions need to be taken to avoid inhaling the product. With care it is no problem to use safely.

And by volume getting epoxy filler this way is so much more cost-effective. Save your squeeze bottle from the major brand so that she can refill it from the large container. There’s enough in this container for my whole radio control club.
