Canon MP480 All-in-One Photo Printer

I like the printer, but we aware that replacement ink is quite expensive - about $50 for both. They cannot be refilled and Ive found no generic replacement available.

Ive been wanting to purchase this unit... have it on my Wish List. Been tracking the Amazon price(s) waiting till the cost falls below mfg suggested ($99.99). Checked today... Price $126.95! Checked the Canon website, price $99.99 Sorry Amazon... ya lost my biz on this one.

I am not sure how long the ink will last, but the quality of the print is great for the money. Mine is mostly used for print and pictures and I have found it easy to operate and has good quality. I would recommend this printer.

The printer is good for what I need but it has a couple small issues. The display screen will not open all the way. Additionally, the paper feed is intermittent and registers no paper when there is actually paper. All and all for the price, it will suit my needs fine. I have experience with Canon printers so I can trouble shoot these issues when they arise.

I owned Lexmark Pinter about 4 of them and 3 HP. I like this one the best, even it was less expensive than my other printer. Reason: I never had a printer in which the Ink lasted 3X as long as Lexmark, the other printer nickel and dimes you to dead over the ink to expensive and does not last. Cannon ist excellent

I dont use my printer very often, maybe twice a week at most. I expect a printer to last at least 2 years with such limited use, this one made it 15 months. The LCD display screen started fading out and became difficult to read after a year, now there is nothing on the display. At the 15 month mark it starting saying there was a paper jam even though there isnt one. I like the easy set up and never had a problem with the scanner or the print quality. The photo printing was so-so, definitely not a high quality photo printer. I just wish it wouldnt have broken so quickly.

Do a search for error codes Pixma on the net. Youll find out. I know for a fact that some can be fixed through the internal computer on the printers but Canon hides the fact to squeeze you.

A great product at a great price. Canons service was exceptional when the first machine was a dud; they sent another right away. The second machine works fine. Ive heard this from another MP480 customer. All is well with both purchases.

We bought this to replace an HP all-in-one that was awful. This Canon printer is awesome--fast printing, great quality, and we dont have to feed the paper in one page at a time! Weve been using it for a few weeks now, have printed photos and text and used the copier, and have no complaints whatsoever. Couldnt be happier with this printer.

I brought this printer from someone who owned it for a few months. This printer is durable. My printer survived being dropped a few times, moved to storage for a year, and then being used for a year after that. However, the computer connection piece broke forcing me to buy a new printer. I can still use the printer as a scanner and copy machine though...
