Good buy. Nothing too exciting to say about a calculator, but it works, and does its job.

Does the job as a replacement for one that died from being poorly designed and constructed. This one is exceptional in viewing and using.

I really like the buttons that are easy to press and are very reactive.

Had the same calculator for at least 10 years and one day it starting making mistakes. Went to Amazon and there it was! Was so pleased I bought two of them because my husband borrows mine all the time. Works as well as the original.

I have six of these calculators around the home; home office, travel bag, etc, but at the moment I have another brand in front of me. Thats how popular the calculator is around here. Button (aka coin) type batteries are pre installed from the factory. I press the 8 key till the display is full of 8s then cover the solar panel.** If the display goes dim, time to change the batteries. Unscrew the two screws on the back with mini philips screwdriver. GENTLY pry the sides with butter knife or something even more dull. (know anyone who got to the insides of the smart phones, they have a tool just for that operation) Gently push the battery out of the contacts, make note of the battery type (ie CR 2032, CR 2016, LR 44) Install fresh one purchased from Tergat, Wal M., if not available try Radio Sack, or any super market. Snap sides together, drive in the screws. Done. Back in business. :) - update - June 18 2014 **Without batteries, calculator will work with solar panel under a desk lamp. But no one turns on desk lamp in a room when it is a full daylight outside, but the outside light which is great for reading will not be enough for the calculator to work properly.
