s with all Castle Forbes products, this cream is top shelf. Pricy, but very high quality. Of course determining if you like or dislike a particular smell is just a personal preference. What some like, others hate so I can’t know if this smell is for you or not. Me, I personally love this scent, it is one of my all-time favorites, but again, scents are just a personal preference. I can tell you the scent is very strong and jumps right out of the container as soon as you unscrew the lid. You will definitely be smelling it as you lather up your face and through-out your shave. The cream itself lathers up great/thick and goes on smooth and slick. Makes for a very nice shave. Very enjoyable experience. Note: For best results, be sure to follow your shave with Castle Forbes matching After-Shave Balm. Their Balms are amazing as well! No sting, dries smoothly, no greasy feel. Expensive? Yes. But very nice/soothing calming treatment for your face.

I cant wait to use this scent. I have used Castle Forbes before so I expect this to be a top notch shave cream. I wasnt sure what to expect piecing together the scent list but this scent is amazing.

Castle Forbes is the best shaving cream out there. The smell is a matter of personal taste, but all 4 work equally well and last a very long time. I just wish they had a minty/menthol version.

Great product! It seems to cost a bit more initially but the tub lasts quite a long time! My last container lasted 6 months! Treat yourself! You won’t go back to canned shaving cream ever again!

The Castle Forbes 1445 Shaving Cream is my favorite shaving cream. It gives me a clean shave and smells good. I highly recommend it.

Considering the price of this stuff and its performance compared to some other less expensive shave creams its grossly overrated. The smell is just OK. It isnt very strong but it isnt unpleasant either. I cant really put a name to it. Just a light pleasant smell. The cream itself wont provide any more protection for your shave than some much less expensive alternatives and I cant tell that the lather is anything special. The tub is rather large so at least you get a pretty good bit of it and it should last a very long time. Like most all creams of this type it doesnt take much to do the job. I take out a small dab and rub it into my face then use the brush to work up the lather. Less messy. And I shave in the shower. Less messy still. So.....overall its not bad. If you just want to drop almost 40 bucks on a tub of shaving cream then I guess this is where its at. If youre expecting some miracle shave experience then I dont see it happening for you. Not underwhelming and not overwhelming. Just..........well.

While apparently expensive, only a small amount is required so the container lasts a long time. The product is excellent--producing a thick creamy foam for shaving. The relatively new fragrance is masculine and very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Expensive but good. Don’t use everyday because of the cost but nice and lathers well.

This shave soap is phenomenal. Im sure the price may be a reason not to try it, but its definitely worth every penny. Very nice, clean, comfortable shave. Some reviewers have commented negatively about the smell, but in my opinion it reminds me more of a true barbershop than any of the other shaving products on the market that claim a barbershop scent. I will be buying this again!

I have tried all scents of Castle Forbes and I have to say that it is the best quality product on the market. To be honest I am not crazy about any of the scents, but this was my least favorite. The scent is a combination of fresh and musk that just does not work. Ill finish using it because it is expensive stuff, but it is back to lime after this is done. I wish Castle Forbes would create a new more modern scent because the product is excellent, it just falls short in smell.
