So I’m SUPER impressed with the cable on these things. The needles came coiled in the package and normally when they are package in a coil shape, this puts a “memory” into the cable and they will not straighten out no matter what you do. They just stayed looped and get in your way. These however, have almost no memory. The only memory that exists in them is right where the cable connects to the needles, which is literally not a problem whatsoever. The only issue I have with these needles is the material of the needles themselves. They feel like hard aluminum and have a strange texture that drives my senses crazy when they slide across each other. Normally when you buy a pair of metal needles, they are slick and the yarn glides across. The needles have a slightly “rough” texture that doesn’t allow the yarn to glide (and also creates that teeth-clenching sound), and I suppose the texture is designed to do just that: keep the yarn from sliding where you don’t want it to.

This system is a dream to knit with. The cord is so flexible, it makes knitting a breeze. There is no bunching or twisting. I hope they market interchangeable cables. I’d be more than happy to replace my other ones.

Die beliebten ChiaoGoo Nadeln gefallen auch mir sehr. Der Übergang zwischen Nadel und Seil ist super glatt, die Wolle gleitet problemlos darüber. Die Nadelspitzen selbst sind spitz, könnten aber für mich spitzer sein. Das Seil hat sich nach inzwischen mehreren damit gestrickten Paar Socken nicht ansatzweise verdreht und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität der Nadeln.

For me, theres not a huge difference between Knitters Pride, Knitpicks metal needles, Addi turbo, and the rest. Is that sacrilege to say? If I favor one over another, its based on whether I want a very sharp or more rounded tip for the work at hand.

It is always worrisome to buy such things sight-unseen, but I had no choice. I want to tell anyone who is considering this not to worry. It is a wonderful circular needle! The points are small and smooth and the wire is terrific- it does not retain the loops from the packaging as so many round needles do. I will buy more needles from this company! Also great as part of a blocking system! (Still waiting for the wires I have ordered and prefer wires to pins.)

Ive always loved ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular knitting needles. Been using them for years. They dont snag and I havent had one break on me yet. I needed a 32 inch long size 3 needle. I just got them in the mail. The packaging robots must have goofed up because I got 3 when i ordered 1! I was only charged for one. Not promising that this will happen to every customer, but it was an interesting surprise.

Just love these needles. Everything is so smooth.
