Hes had sneezing fits on and off for some time and kept blaming it on stuff he ate. I finally bought 3 of these ( 2 in the kitchen/living area, 1 in the bedroom). He noticed the sneezing reducing, so asked to put one in his office. Hes impressed! Buying another one now to replace the one in the living room. Only had these about 3 weeks, so havent had a chance to replace filters, but looks easy enough.

Allergies reduced at night while it worked. 2 out of 3 of them broke after 3 months.

Love these. They are loud but effective . I would recommend. Our family with allergies visited with nonissues for our cat.

I dont know if the unit even ionizes or cleans the air. Nothing on the unit indicates that it does. You can hear a two-speed fan (high speed noisy) and can turn on or off a blue led light ... and thats it. The filter is impressive. Small, but impressive and expensive. All I can say is make sure your main home air conditioner has a clean air filter and have it serviced twice a year (the techs make sure the fans ad unit interior are clean). If you want a room ionizer, go commercial size.
