Not really aluminum, its plastic, the aluminum definition explains the color.

Did not fit like a glove, but it fits okay on my VITA-1000. The case makes it a bit hard to hit the start and select buttons - that is the only negative in my opinion. I like how it makes the vita a bit more beefy and feels like I am getting a better grip on the console itself. It is a good enough case and I feel it will protect the Vita from some light scratches. Would not expect too much for the price.

The thing didnt fit

This whole case is made out of plastic. The only thing that is metalic on the entire case is two spots where your fingers rest on the back half. It would be a decent case if I was looking for a plastic shell for my vita, but I wanted a metal case and this is definitely not it.

The product was a bit misleading. I expected it to be made of plastic but I thought the face plate was brushed metal. It is not. The entire product is plastic. Also with glass screen protector the top will not completely snap closed.

Its a case it tough and thats good enough for me thanks ya.

i was pretty disappointed with this case. it is mostly plastic with thin aluminum inlay on the front. i put it on my vita and it lifted up the top of the screen protector causing air pockets no matter how many times i tried putting it on. it stays on very well and seems to provide good protection. it makes the start/select and ps button even harder to press. if you want a good shell for your vita, this is NOT the one to buy. this case is not good. do not buy this.

case is awesome the only downside is that theres no back protection should make it with a cover for the back touch screen but seems like no other case do that are worth owning just this one and i do love this case its great and very much so worth the money

Once it clicks together it’s very difficult to pry back loose if you want to take it off. The tabs are very brittle and have already had a couple break. I leave it on bc it does seem to give minimal protection to the Vita but it’s not well made and I’m guessing if it were to drop it would shatter.
