Cotton Utility Travel Bag

I love Vera Bradley bags in general but there travel bags are amazing. The quality is as great on this as you would imagine. Thick high quality fabric, plush padding, perfect stitching and flawless hardware. I really love the open middle section. When you are traveling it gives you the option to stuff extra things in if needed. The long zipper also allows you to really open up the middle section incase there is something on the bottom you might need. The large size pouches would be great for a huge water bottle or even bringing home two bottles of wine if you pick them up on your travels. The bag is easily carried with the two straps or you can attach the shoulder strap if you are going to be walking with it for a long time. I also love it for airplane travel because of the pocket on the back that allows you to slide it over the handle on your wheeled suitcase.

Travel bag

This bag is like the ultimate travel bag. I purchased for the purposes of my under seat bag. Depending the airline/seating class, this one might not fit if you have it filled to its capacity. That said, theres a pocket for absolutely everything in this bag & has a suitcase trolley which makes for peace of mind in busy airports. The big downside (I have the black bag) it collects lint & fuzz VERY easily. If you can, go with a print.

I absolutely love this bag so much. It is so well made and high quality, exactly what youd expect from VB. The solid, non-quilted cotton cover is a new, nice touch and gives it a really elevated/modern look. The bag has a lot of different compartments that makes it great for traveling and staying organized. It is just the right size for an overnight/long weekend trip. All the toggles and zippers are well made, and it came shipped so nicely. It also has a great pocket for affixing this to rolling luggage.

This tote is pure Vera Bradley quality.

Did not like: too large for my petite frame and did not like the cotton fabric.

Perfect travel size

If you like the quality of Vera Bradley products, but are not into the flashy patterns or prints, this bag is perfect for you! The quality is absolutely top-notch. I love how roomy it is inside, and the zipper closure is heavy-duty. The pocket on the side that slides down the handle of the rolling luggage bag (trolley sleeve) is a GENIUS addition!! This is so helpful for those who travel a lot. I cannot say enough great things about this bag. Great quality and design. I am very pleased!

I am a huge fan of Vera Bradley, and own several of their bags. Unfortunately, this particular utility travel bag misses the mark for me in a few ways, and is not one of my favorite Vera Bradleys. One issue for me is that this duffel has the same issue as the other recycled cotton bags, in that the fabric seems to pick up every single piece of lint or hair around. I dont have a pet, but this bag makes it look like I do (I can only imagine if I did what this would look like, yikes). Not exactly the look Im going for when I travel, not to mention I dont want to walk around carrying other peoples dirt from the floor of a plane or bus. My other issue is the size of the bag... it holds a LOT, which is awesome, but it is not what I would call versatile. It is best for road trips, or maybe as a gym bag, but probably not for airplane travel. I opted for a different bag on a recent flight, as this one is too large for a personal item on a flight (wont fit under the seat), but too big for me to comfortably carry through the airport without placing it on a rolling suitcase (to be fair, I do stuff my carry-on with a lot of weight). It is also larger than the diaper bags I used to carry when my kids were younger, so I dont see it as being good for that or a work tote, either (see my pics; for size reference, I am 5 foot 6, and weigh 165 pounds).
