The stock stepper has a press fit gear which is challenging to remove once worn. Cut it off, dont bother with a puller. These replace the press fit gear on the arbor, but use two set screws with a vaguely 1.5mm hex hole to tighten them down. Tightening them down is problematic. Sometimes they hold fine, sometimes the set screws do not provide enough friction and the gear slips. If that happens then good luck diagnosing intermittent extrusion issues. One of mine finally slipped enough to stop extruding part way through a print. If you understand that problem and think it is solvable then this will be good value. I hit my arbor with a small diamond file to give the screws some purchase and that works very well. Up to you.

The relatively quick and painless replacement of my Flashforge Adventurer 3s original filament feed gear with this one resulted in a significant reduction the annoying filament slip-related knocking noises that most owners of my printer commonly complain about, and slightly improved print quality. I recommend this upgrade to anyone with a Flashforge A3 and Monoprice Voxel 3D printer. There are a couple easy to follow outube videos that walk you the process.

My step motors cog was worn down and press fit. Ordered a new 40-42 and this set. Completely fixed my issue

Soes exactly what it is supposed to do and is a direct replacement for the Ender 3 printer.

Works as expected. The teeth on the one that came with the printer finally wore out after continously printing for months on end. Still on the first one in the pack after about a month of it being on the printer. So far so good.
