I like to concept of my Cricut Maker marking my sewing lines on my quilt squares. It worked really well for that but soon the tip became softer and the ink wasnt sufficient to clearly mark lines. Got through about 2/3 of my quilt squares.

Ive used a lot of these type of pens for 20+ years. I use these exclusively for my cross stitch, so typically aida-type cloth. It was more expensive, so I was surprised to see the felt tip pen common to the run-of-the-mill pen at the big box stores. It was a relatively thick line, so if you were using tiny gauge cloth it woudnt work well. I used this to free draw the outline of my state, and then place a message of block letters inside the state ouline. I was horrified that after about a week of hard work, when I went to rinse out my finished product that it didnt want to dissolve! I added a little laundry soap, nothing.... well, except make my red block letters run like crazy.... I did what I thought I could, and there were a few faint lines remaining..... however as it sat after blotting, I noticed that *eventually* all the lines were gone. For my money, I would stick to the cheaper model as its the EXACT SAME PRODUCT! And yes, the felt tip pens tend to dry out completely in a couple of months..... there is a hard ceramic fine-tip pen that I used to use that didnt dry out.....

I had been dying to try this out and so this was just me kind of screwing around to hurry and get a design in there to see how it worked. Worked great! I wanted it for embroidery patterns and trying to learn how to make my own patterns n all of that stuff with the cricut air explore 2 machine! When I make more I will definitely add photos in here and update if necessary! I forget what fabric this is exactly but I can try to find out and add it here :)
