I am always amazed with the product when they come because they seem a lot bigger I have a Himalayan macaw which is a hookbill and she enjoys playing with these toys they are always bigger than her which is fantastic and keeps it a little bit busy a little bit longer I will order from this company again

Okay, I have a macaw. I purposely look for toys that will at least last a few days. Its her supreme delight and joy in life to tear them up, but that is healthy for her and helps her dexterity and her beak. This one lasted less than one day, though :( I just wish if its marketed for macaws, it would be a little sturdier for macaws.

It took no time for the bird to play with the toy. She plays with it everyday.

My blue and gold macaw had all the wood removed in 3 days. Never untied any knots, but it has no more wood on it. I could hear him breaking the wood with ease. Would buy again if it were in sale, but not really practical for a chewing macaw.

The only issue we had with this was the way it hooks in the cage. There is a screw hook that goes from the hanger and screwes into one of the pieces of wood on the chew toy. Once he chewed on that piece the whole thing fell to the bottom of the cage. So I just ran the hanger hook thru one of the rope knots and hung it back up. So just get rid of the screw hook part and use a different ring and its perfect.

We got this for our umbrella cockatoo and see loves it, she has had it for a week now and it is now half demolished. She has been very interested and happy working on this. Sadly our macaw let himself into her enclosure and took a chunk off of it, guess you could say is he is jealous, but his toys are more tough, made for macaws. But our cockatoo loves this for now and I will be delighted to buy more like these.

ordered two and decided to get one more but it was quite a bit smaller than the first 2 I got.
