CURT 40085 Raw Steel Trailer Hitch Ball, 30,000 lbs, 2-5/16-Inch Diameter, 1-1/4 x 2-5/8-Inch Shank

These are excellent. Strongest hitch ball I’ve found and I’ve had 3 of these over the years for various hitches. Only downfall is there isn’t a flat spot so sometimes it will spin when tightening. I had to get creative one time to get it tight.

Been using this pulling a 10k+ lb travel trailer, probably 5k miles. Some scoring on the top of it, but nothing to write home about. Cant beat the price, works as it should.

Not same as listed will rust fast look closer and images posted tag even shows a different item number

I purchased and paid extra for the stainless steel ball to stop rust. I had the ball for 2 weeks, it was not on the vehicle that entire time, the shank was covered with rust. I called Curt Industries, after shufling me 3 times from answering, to customer service, to technical support, they told me the ball is not stainless steel, it is only covered with stainless steel and it was going to rust. They told me to return it.

after install the second day and the whole ball was rust!!!!!!!!!!
