CURT 49120 2-Inch x 12-Inch Weld-On Raw Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Tube

The end is heated and formed to create the re-enforcement. The other curt receiver (longer) I got in the same order, and a cheaper model I got elsewhere both used weld on rings. This formed end doesnt seem as sturdy or as well designed. Im not towing with it so its fine for what Ill be doing with it. Its not defective, just not as good a product as I was expecting.

I bought this because I was getting some play in my other hitch sleeve; with the additional collar around it, theres not much chance of getting any play.

Custom made a front winch mount for my Dodge Ram 1500 and used this as the receiver. Perfect fit and heavy duty. Various lengths available. A+

All I can say now, it looks heavy duty etc.

Needed this to weld on to my tractor bucket to move trailers around. Worked well , maybe a little pricey.

I purchased two of these so I could weld them onto some really thick angle iron so I could have two extra receivers on our motor home. I did that so I could carry additional weight. Those two receivers are great quality and, Ive tested them intensely by putting my 540 lb. Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT on them (and the original center receiver) on them and drove all around the country. Absolutely perfect! No evidence of any failure, fatigue, nothing. Id recommend it (them).
