> 3 dayI gave it a fair shake - used it for about a year before writing this review. I am an HVAC professional, and Ive used this bag for 15 years. When I purchased this latest rendition they had moved the small parts bin from underneath to the side. I liked it better underneath, but thats not a big deal. What IS a big deal is that they also changed to a much more flexible fabric. The pockets dont hold their shape. When I pull a tool out the pocket folds over and grabs the tool making it difficult to remove. When I put a tool in, the pocket collapses and it turns into a two handed frustrating experience. I have recently resorted to cutting old plastic bottles of various sizes to line the pockets and give them shape.

> 3 dayThis is a great bag for hauling tools! The pockets and dividers make it possible to haul a lot of tools and keep them “findable”. If you fill them up, they may require an assistant to help carry them. Super stout and well designed.

> 3 dayThese days Im hesitant to purchase items on Amazon primarily based on star ratings but Ill have to admit this tool carrier lives up to somewhere between a four and five star rating: excellent stitching, heavy canvas material, perfect size for me, the grip on the handle is comfortable even with a fully loaded back, and lots of slots for various sized tools. Especially though, my first impression was that this is quality item. At its current price Im even taking the (uncompensated) time to write a very favorable review. I think this carry bag is actually deserving of a 4 1/2 star rating; only docked it half a star for no coffee holder... ;-)

> 3 dayI have never purchased a CLC product before and am blown away at how sturdy and well-crafted it is. I had checked out some competitor brands at Home Depot and Lowes and was unimpressed; I took a gamble on this sight unseen and am so glad I did. My husband liked it so much that he bought another CLC bag. I am using mine to store all of my sewing notions, and I am stunned at how much fits in it. If you dont want to use the shoulder strap, it fits folded up in the bottom pocket where the storage box goes.

> 3 dayIm shocked at the price. Its a pretty good tool bag. HVAC tech 16 years. edit: Hvac 19 years now. this is really the only bag i like for hvac and have been using this set up for almost 20 years and really dont know any other way. At this point 65 dollars just is what it is the price is steep as is everything. they used to be 25 then 35 now 65. its worth every penny for me though because this bag is absolutely phenomenal and cant do my job right without it.

Greater than one weekMy husbad picked this out himself for Christmas. Hes a contractor and needed another tool box that would help him stay organized. He loved all of the pockets and spaces to organize his tools. My only complaint is that its very heavy. Im concerned about how heavy it will be when its full of tools. I showed it to him when it arrived and he still wanted to keep it. Its not Christmas yet, so well have to see how it works out. Ill update this post if we end up returning it, otherwise you can assume that its working out well!

> 3 dayI was very pleased with quality and construction of this bag. The bag is laid out very well and will accommodate many tools both large and small. The enclosed parts container is handy for those small items that any electrician is glad he has on hand. Overall I would say the size does lend itself to the probability of stuffing a lot of tools into it ,which the bag can convincingly carry, you will want to get it to the job and park it there. It is not a tool bag you will want to carry to every job.

14-04-2025Ordered and received the tool bag last week. Took it to work (steel mill) and moved all my tools from my old bag (AWP from Lowes). To my surprise, the CLC bag is larger than expected, but I have room to grow. My Fluke DMM sits perfectly in the middle. The plastic case that stores neatly underneath is big enough to store all wire nuts and other small items. I will have to come back and update my review after I spend time using the bag. I had the other AWP bag for only 4 months and it did not live up to the conditions of my workplace. I will give 4 stars as of now. So stay tuned. ;-) Update 11/21/14: I tried to like this bag but it did not live up to my expectations. The shoulder strap clips broke. I had to improvise with carabiners. The bag began to lean to one side. The measuring tape clip does not hold the tape securely, which also caused me to lose a tape. Sadly, had to retire this bag early and bought a different bag (CLC 1509).
