> 24 hourThis has plenty of functions that are useful when your looking for something to edit your videos, but it takes quite a bit of practice. Ive used some of there software before, albeit from earlier years, but even then this took time to get used to. Dont get me wrong, its got some great features to use on videos...you just might spend longer trying to figure out how to find and use them the first few times you need to. That being said, there is a decent amount of resources available, so your not thrown to the wolves, you just have to be patient using it.

> 24 hourI have always wanted to start doing review videos of products. This honestly is a pretty simple software to navigate through and honestly gives me hope that I will some day get to do my video product reviews. I am not verry tech savvy, but this software is pretty simple to understand.

> 24 hourI recently bought a laptop just to dedicate to video editing. I have some skill in Adobe software but a friend recommended this Cyberlink package for its ease of use and broad application with quick results. He knows Im always in a hurry and have no patience. This products promises certainly is impressive and installation was a breeze. I am still learning the programs and my first need is to polish and post a video I took of a kitty who was demonstrating early signs of kidney failure. It is a very curiously odd symptom, the cat will make a bone-crunching noise with its teeth while it eats soft food. This is while the cat appears perfectly healthy. So this oddity may be noticed as curious, or even cute, so Id like to get warning posted online that this is the time your cat needs a vet ASAP. So this product is serving a serious mission from the get-go! Though I am sure I will also be creating recreational and entertaining output as I gain expertise. Ill be back to update this review with my accomplishment. Kudos to the software creators that know the importance of easy-to-use applications with professional results for a public that does not want to prolong any learning curve in computer science! This serves a huge audience. I recommend giving this product your trust as I am.

> 24 hourLong time user of PowerDirector 14 software. Editing functions about the same, but PD 21 supports 9:16 format. There are glitches in the sound of produced videos like an old record player skipping. Also skips in the video. Have made at least 15 videos and all have skips in different places. Skips are not at clip changes or music changes, just random. Same videos produced with PD 14 do not have the glitches.

> 24 hourEasy start up but a huge learning curve. I’m a beginner so I’m having to do a lot of research which I expected. It’s been a very fun experience. My 12yr old son and I both use this software, he’s better than me though I must admit.

> 24 hourI know many will wonder and ask, so the box clearly states this was made in Taiwan. Now on to other details, for anything photos or video related you will need a bit of a workhorse computer to run this software at its peak. There will be computers that can run it but it will lag. My laptop, while still considered good, is older and I have some lag. IT has no problem running some older photo editing software but this newer video editor is a bit harder for it to keep up. Something to keep in mind. This has a different layout than other programs that I am more familiar with. I am familiar with photograph editing software like Corel and Adobe Photoshop. So, learning video editing takes a bit. Some of the basics remain the same, removing objects, color correction. That becomes just learning the program. The system is fairly easy to navigate. I would make sure you have a backup of your original media file before you edit. Then just go to town, push buttons, see what you can do with the program, have fun. The worst you are looking at is junking the file and starting over but really you learned a bunch along the way. If you have experience in video editing, then unless you lost all your gear and everything else most likely you have good programs that you like and are comfortable with using. This is good for someone wanting to test the waters in video editing and media manipulation. You may find that there are other programs that you like better or this really suits your style.

> 24 hourIm early on the learning curve with CyberLink PowerDirector 21. Ive worked with still photos in PhotoShop Elements and other software, but this is my first venture into video work. The learning curve is steep, but the software has lots of explanatory and tutorial videos. Prior versions of PowerDirector have tons of tutorial videos, template designs and other helpful things on YouTube. If, like me, you are new to video editing, this is a good place to start. When first opening the program, it appears overwhelming, but starting with the excellent and detailed tutorials, you come up to speed to get started pretty quickly. The software has some computer requirements that might be beyond your machine if you are using an older machine with minimal memory or a slow processor. Amazon pages for the product dont show system requirements, so I added a photo of the side of the box showing the system requirements. The program comes with an installation DVD, but it also has the link for downloadable software if your computer does not have a DVD drive. Im happy with this software and look forward to gaining the skills needed to use most of the capabilities.

> 24 hourI have been using a previous version of this software for years. Because Ive edited photographs and home movies of my kids sports with PowerDirector before, it has been really easy to use this version of the software. If its your first time with this product, Id suggest finding video tutorials and taking it slowly as you learn how to make the most of it. There are a lot of really great features to make things such as a season-end highlight reel look professional. I use this software on a desktop computer with a big monitor. It helps me see all the features and keep track of where I am in the editing process. They are a lot of ways to manipulate and add to videos and photographs with this software. I find that I stick to the same processes for the results I want. I could do a lot more with this software if I wanted to, but Im happy with what I know. Most of the tools I use havent changed in this version of PowerDirector, but on the whole, it is faster and works very well for me.
