Super great hiking socks

Wonderful and comfortable!

These are probably the best fitting socks we have ever owned. The heel is where it should be - on the heel. Comfortable and quick drying. Can’t say how long they will last but we aren’t going to go easy on them. Didn’t keep our feet as warm as we expected but maybe we had unrealistic expectations.

I wear a woman’s size 9 shoe. I ordered a medium (which should have been on the big side) but they feel very small. I’ve never put on a sock that is so uncomfortable! I gave them away.

I kept these because it was too much trouble to send them back, but they are hot and uncomfortably tight.

Ive looked high and low for comfortable cushioned socks that are not made of wool. Wool hurts my feet. Until now, everything else not made of wool seems designed to chafe the foot despite descriptions of being anti-blister. These are the first socks Ive found with tightly knit cushioning that actually feels pretty soft against my sensitive foot instead of almost like sandpaper. It also does not have other roughness element inside the sock such as excess thread between knitted elements or a knitted logo in the foot bed (even Smartwool socks, that I used to be able to wear, havent figured out that knitting their logo into the foot bed can be felt by a sensitive foot). As a bonus for me, these socks are keeping my feet pretty cool and dry compared to socks I had been wearing. After trial runs with a couple of pairs of these socks, Im buying more. Ill pay the higher price for these. Less expensive socks are poorly made and hurt my feet.

These are my go to socks now for any excursion. Kept my feet dry, cool & comfy on a multi-day trip of daytime walking. I also wear them rollerskating or for anything I need taller socks for.
