Was looking to add a 2nd M2 NVME to my Dell G7 7700 17 and this did the trick. You need the standoff as they simply dont include it from the factory. Looks and functions exactly like the stock one in the first slot.

I purchased a similar item before this one was available. The other one is flimsy garbage and doesnt work. This one is the real deal and looks/works just like the OEM piece from Dell.

Fit my Dell G7 laptop perfectly. Was able to install an additional m.2 NVMe drive. I think its way overpriced, but could not find any reasonable alternative.

It correctly engages the dimples in the memory slot to secure the ssd. Some ssd just mount directly with a very tiny screw but some like the Dell, require this style of retaining clip. I didnt realize it and had to buy this kit. I have mounted SSDs directly before and didnt realize until I treated myself to an upgrade.

Unfortunately Dell did not ship the prefects needed to add a second drive and I was not able to order it through them. This saved me from returning the laptop.

Dell doesnt have these spare parts in stock and hasnt for almost a year now. These work just as well and do the job I needed. I just wish Id found them sooner! :)

The bracket was an exact fit for my Dell G7 17-7700. Screwed in a 2280 SSD, stuck on a copper heat sink, closed up and rebooted. Job done.
