Removed and installed , easy job

The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that no screws were included. The holes for the screws are quite small and it was difficult to find screws to fit for installation. The actual product was ideal, and worked perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Screw holes in the new male part didnt match the original parts that broke and were being replaced despite both old and new being Decorite 5838. I was able to get them installed but others with slightly different alignments may need to fill the original holes and re-drill.

works great for holding drawers closed in our RV. No lifting of the drawer - just dull like a normal drawer. This replaces one that had gotten broke.

this latch is a replacement on a heavy drawer in my travel trailer. Time will tell if it is sturdy enough to keep the drawer in place while in motion
