> 24 hourI had an X30 for years. Wore it out. It heated quickly and did a fine job. so I decided to upgrade to an X40. Much slower heating and I am not happy. Just ordered another X30 but went to Valley Vet. $74.95 free shipping. Really good iron, but there are better prices elsewhere.

> 24 hourWorked PERFECTLY for our baby Nubian goats! I was afraid that it would be too large for their tiny little heads, but it couldn’t have been better. I did the horn buds in July, and now it’s January and they’ve healed up very nicely with no hint of any horn growth. I have small children who work closely with the goats and couldn’t take a chance of them hurting the children or each other. I don’t have to worry about their heads getting stuck in the fence either, so this has given me peace of mind in knowing that my goats and the people who work with them will be safer in the long run. This machine was quick to heat up and easy to use and clean. I will use again on future generations of my dairy goats.

> 24 hourThis tool is great for miniature and mini goats, if you disbud them within the first month. If you wait longer than this, the tip of the heat gun will not slide to the base of the horn bud. This is definitely not for standard goat disbudding. It does however, work well and gets hit enough to sear the horn growth nerves. Leaves a nice golden ring. The side of the tip can be used to sear the horn.

> 24 hourDisbudded nubian kids at 10 days and found the iron to be a perfect size for them. Worked well and the kids healed quickly. Now three months later, no scurs. Recommend shaving the top of the head to make the horn buds clear and minimize smoke. Keep iron on for full 10 seconds, use stop watch. Watch videos online to see different techniques.

> 24 hourThis is the top for disbudding small horned animals like my Nigerian Dwarf goats but can be used on medium sized goats. Originally bought the Pygmy one but it is to small especially if you disbud bucks/bucklings! If done correctly, there is no worries for scurs later down the road disqualifying goats for shows!!
