DEWALT 20V MAX* LED Work Light / Flashlight (DCL040)

Didn’t even notice before I bought that it has a RED NIGHT VISION LIGHT as well! Great for critter spotting. Wish it didn’t toggle through functions in sequence though. A separate switch would have been preferred. By the time you get to red, you’ve already blinded anything you might have been trying to sneak up on. On the other hand, red diffuses in the area better than a single white beam, and probably lasts a lot longer battery wise I’m guessing. Multi position handle/base is potentially very useful. DeWalt quality tool.

Very adjustable and bright. With a 2ah battery, lasts around an hour.

Light is great

Great product at a fair price. We use it for household use, but I feel it would perform well in commercial use also.

When I bought my electric drill, I wanted to take advantage of the two battery packs that came with it. After reading the reviews of various drills, I finally decided on a DeWalt drill and this torch. The design of this light was a key factor in choosing the drill. I live in a rural place and I often need a flash light for various things, like when the power goes out and going out at night with my dog. Yes, I have to deal with that more often than most people. Any lithium battery should give me a reliable light but I am impressed with the design of this unit. It easily sits on a level surface, The head rotates up and down. And you can hang it from a metal loop that is attached to its head. Its beefy but not too heavy. The switch feels solid and has a high quality click. The light seems plenty bright and I can use it to find my dog several hundred feet away at night. The LED bulb should last the lifetime of the product. Im very satisfied with this product. Ive come to enjoy the few DeWalt tools Ive purchased and this will be no exception.

The light is very bright and surprisingly doesn’t use that much battery life

It is actually what you would expect from Dewalt. A very good work, camping, game tracking, boating flashlight. It uses the same power pack as their hand tools. On a full charge it will last for hours. We use them for tracking game and always carry an extra battery pack. Never had to use it but easy to swap out if needed.

This is insanely bright, its great that it has a two-position switch to conserve battery power. Excellent spotlight and more than adequate simultaneous floodlight width.

WOW! Very impressed with the brightness and range of this LED work/search light. Too soon to rate its battery life.

Its a light; it lights things up. Very bright. The brightest of the bright.
