DEWALT Tape Measure, 100-Foot, Self-Lock, Solid Chrome Finish, Rubber Grip (DWHT34036L)

Arrived quickly. The casing is overall quality. The cons are that you still need someone to help you if youre not measuring a relatively short or flat surface because the tape, while steel, is thin and doesnt stay in place. Also, it measures in feet not inches. It would be ok still despite that, but when you pull the tape out past a short distance--which is the only reason anyone would buy a 100ft tape measure--it doesnt retract back in despite winding it (the one we were sent doesnt anyhow).

I am a little league ages 7 & 8 baseball coach. I hoped to use this tape measure when putting out bases and a pitching machine. I briefly used it prior to six games before it jammed so tight impossible to use again. For all I know it could have started to jam while removing it from the impossible packaging.

I am shocked that a product from DeWalt is this bad. I bought in May, used no more than half a dozen times and now it is broken. I am so DISAPPOINTED! I cannot believe what a waste of money this was. Dont buy this product. Not worth the money you paid at all!

Had this for a year and it has been great. I finally needed it for measuring over 100 and when it got to 93 the tape came out of the case. It had been broken there since day 1. I love Dewalt but I will be replacing this with another brand.

Excellent DeWalt quality as you would expect. For being a 100ft tape measure this thing is compact and easy to use. The clip on the end is handy and love the yellow color to help locate the tape measure if misplaced. We’ve had our other DeWalt tape measures for decades and this new addition will now join the others on the work bench.

Will be ordering another one very soon. This thing rewinds FAST! I have used Stanley fat max until now
