I agree the lights look weird. You can clearly see the individual lights in the hook, but my four year old doesnt seem to mind. Hes not gentle with it and its held up well for over a month now.

We purchased this as part of a Maui costume for an adult for Halloween, but the sounds and lights are very exciting even for adults
