1.5yr old can’t open the door by pulling down but we still can by just lifting up. We just leave the top uncovered.

Long story here, but our front door has a lever door handle and no deadbolt. My two year old figured this out a few months ago and has been escaping the house and heading toward the street. No more! This lever lock is great because my older child can lift the handle up while the younger one cant reach it, so it works for everyone. I didnt think I would care that the top and bottom pieces swivel separately, but it turns out to be the best part.

I like this lock because it’s on top and bottom of the handle. My kid watches me undo it and he can’t seem to get it because it’s tight which is great.

I thought it would swing in both directions to lay flat against the door. It doesnt! So make sure you know which side it goes flat before putting it on the door. Else, its a great product. Does its job!

This works perfect for my lever door.

This child safety handle device definitely does the job. It doesnt prevent access into the room from the other side since my handles turn independently. Sturdy.

OMG, I cant believe how great these are. We have French Doors going to the outside of our home. The kind where both panels can be opened and you have a 6 opening to the outside. But to re-close and lock them you have to pull both sets of handles up to engage the bolts at top and bottom. Most of the time, you only open the active panel to exit and enter, and leave the passive panel alone with the bolts still engaged up and down. For the 11 years weve owned our home, guests and relatives have flunked the intelligence test :-) of which handle to open, and then for locking both doors to make the house secure. I cant tell you the number of times weve come home and both doors were wide open because someone didnt lock the passive panel properly, and the wind pushed both doors open. We literally thought we were going to vote some of our friends, and some of our kids, off the island... And because the doors were blown open, we were either trying to air condition the world in summer, or heat the world in winter - both are very expensive - and we got so many bugs inside... We used these child proof lock to secure the handle on the passive door panel so people wont try to open that door (see the attached picture). Problem solved - for less than $13 bucks. Amazing. Phenomenal. Awesome. We absolutely love them. These are STURDY, too. Solid. Worth every penny. Worth twice the price.

I was skeptical it would not hold. My son is strong and very persistent but the adhesive is great and does the job!

Drove myself crazy with my toddler grabbing things from the pantry. Not anymore. It works.
