Nothing worse than chords and wires hanging on the floor or having to set it on the ground. The cord is able to be wound up inside leaving a clean look and less mess. We bought one for each one we own.

Our house has new outlet face-plates with one screw in the center. These holders, when empty, barely stay in. When you put the Google wifi device, they fall out immediately. So: these are easy to install and easy to use, and probably work fine if the outlet is in a good position (out of the way of traffic, and in a good location for wifi signal strength), but ONLY if the face-plate of the outlet has two screws.

We have outlets near my ceilings that I use for cameras and access points. This is an easy way to mount Google WiFi devices. It stuck out from the wall a little further than I imagined.

They will not hold due to the weight.

So, these were replacements to another Google WiFi point holder that I bought that was meant for the old points since Google changed the plug from oval to circular. These are decent but have some design flaws. The first issue is the area to coil the cord. There arent any of those tension tabs to keep the cord in place, so they just sit loose in the coil with the idea that the wall will keep the cord in place. Well, the cord likes to pop out as youre trying to place the mounts tab under the outlet cover, so its a bit of a battle to get the cord to stay long enough to get the mount against the wall. The second issue is that with how small the tab is that goes under the wall plate. You need a very ridgid wall plate to keep hold of the tab if you got a non-gfi style outlet like in my pic. I had to go and buy a metal wall plate to get the rigidity needed to hold the mount. With the plastic wall plate, the mount would barely stay in the side position and just fell out in the bottom or top position. I get that this is designed to work with any style plugs wall plate, but it was just disappointing that I had to run out and get a new wall plate. Now that theyre in, all is well and unless the WiFi points are physically knocked into, I dont see them going anywhere.

I would have given this 5 stars except that I could only get it to work when installed on the BOTTOM of my outlet. I first tried to install on the side and it fell right out. Maybe that is because I have the older outlet type with a single screw in the middle, between the two receptacles. Hangs down just fine and seems secure enough. I initially tried winding the cord by inserting the plug in the puck and then winding out, but that didnt put the electric plug where I needed it. I ended up starting w/ the electric plug where I wanted it, and then winding it in (starting w/ the outermost ring first) and finally plugging into the the puck. Also, note that you can/should wind the cord 2x into each ring -- if you only put a single wind into each ring you will end up w/ a lot of extra cord. Recommended, especially if you are good w/ it being installed on the bottom.

I recently purchased the google whole home Wifi system and decided to try these outlet mounts so the routers would not have to sit on top of furniture. The mounts seem to be very secure, and I did not notice any movement of the mounts after installing them behind the wall plates. I did attempt to wrap the cord around the mount several times before finally being satisfied with the tension in the cord while plugged in. Other than that, installation was a breeze.

Does not work well at all with outlets which only have a single screw (in the middle) holding the outlet cover in place. After completely tightening the outlet cover, the holder is easily removed from behind the cover. A simple bump by a leg would dislodge this.

Great, simple product that solves a classic technology problem – cord management. These caddies are a GAME CHANGER if youve struggled to find somewhere to set your Google WiFi points. We had one on the desk in our office and another just sitting at the end of our hallway, on the ground, very sadly. Hanging the point from an outlet meant we could move it off the desk in the office (yay, more desk space!). Hanging the point in the hallway meant its cord wasnt collecting dust bunnies on the ground anymore. Really happy with the purchase!
