It is Dyson filter, rather expensive.

Looks slightly different than the one in this photo. The four dorsal fins are not there. Rubber o-ring seals, as on the original it replaced, are there, and I was pleasantly surprised, albeit a little confused as to why they would list it with the wrong picture, but even the Dyson site has this photo. Huh... Same excellent and quite operation as before. Yes, you get what you pay for with Dyson, but even so, still kinda pricey, hence the 4-star rating.

had the dyson for over a year and had to replace my filter only once. it usually last about 6-8 months depending on how often you have it on and how dusty the environment is, but overall it is worth the money. DO NOT purchase knockoff ones cause it will cause the dyson to run an error.

I have ordered this item in the past and been pleased with my purchase. Not this time! The filter I was sent is NOT a genuine Dyson filter, even though it arrived in a Dyson-labeled box and had dyson printed on the green plastic ring. As you can see in the picture, the (used) filter on top is the genuine article, with a multitude of very narrow pleats and three main sections. The filter purchased here is on the bottom of the picture. It had much thicker pleats, less than half as many as the real deal, divided into six or seven sections. I ordered two filters and both were fakes. * I returned these filters and purchased some directly from Dysons website. The filters that Dyson sent matched my original one, with very thin pleats and three main sections.

I originally purchased a cheaper knockoff of this filter because there were so many of them and they were 1/3 of the price of the Dyson brand filter. The knockoff did not fit securely and would not allow the base to snap into place. I returned the knockoff and purchased the OEM version and it fits as it should--like a glove. Its definitely more expensive, but for a filter that you replace every year, I guess its worth it. My old filter was disgustingly dirty, so definitely dont skip on the yearly maintenance and get the factory-approved version so that you know it works!
