This is the latest model in a long line of DYSON stick vacuums. Every iteration saw one or several improvement. IMHO, this is as good as it gets. The green light - I thought it was a gimmick. It isn’t. You see exactly where the dirt is. This vacuum picks up everything, in one go. It automatically adjusts for wooden floors vs carpeting. The noise level is on the low end. I’m always astonished at the amount of dirt it picks up. Cleaning it, getting rid of the dust is simple and easy. The battery lasts longer than I need. The battery is easy to replace, when its time is up (replacement batteries however are not inexpensive. This vacuum is a pleasure to use and gets the job done faster and better than I imagined. Highly recommended.

Works great, the laser light is crazy good on hardwood floors.

My husband bought this as a Christmas present. Best vacuum I’ve owned. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and this vacuum stands up to all the fur.

I cant understand positive reviews for such an expensive vacuum that falls so short. 2800 square foot house, maybe 65-70% carpeting and various throw rugs. This vacuum cant get the job done on one battery. So, I have to wait hours for the battery to recharge. To be fair, it has an Eco setting that might allow me to do the whole house. I never tried it because the suction on Eco is terrible!!! Might as well use a tiny dustbuster. If I am paying $700, I am paying that for the power to get ground in dirt and dust up on the first or second pass. If I wanted bare minimum suction, there are plenty of handheld vacuums available for $100 that offer that. Unless your house is 100% wood and/or tile floors, the Eco setting is useless. On top of the one battery issue, this thing is heavy and uncomfortable. The trigger has to be held down constantly and this weighs considerably more than my old Dyson handheld. When using its top setting, no question this model gets up the dirt. Its very effective. But, its only able to do a room or two with carpet and then the loooong recharge has to begin again. For this kind of money, I need a vacuum that can get the job done. Other Dyson handhelds had two batteries in the past, so its not like Dyson is not aware of the difference that having two batteries can make. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere or buy an older Dyson that comes with two batteries. Buying an additional battery to make this model genuinely useful will up the price to around $900-$950 and its simply not worth it. Really disappointed in this model. Its going back for a refund.

This is my 2nd Dyson. Last was a V11. This is a very nice upgrade.

I have another popular brand of expensive upright vacuum. Vacuumed my floors first with it, then used my Dyson Animal second. Then the Dyson V15. Holy #### where did all this come from ? 3 minutes in, I had to dump the hopper. Again...again...again ! Pulled cat hair from I dont know where. Fine dirt, unbelievable. Then on to the hardwood floors, yes...the laser really does work ! Amazing vacuum. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. I purchased another battery, and some more accessories to add to the versatility of this Dyson. 4 weeks into owning it and it still amazes me. Only thing I am disappointed in is the hair screw tool. Does not seem to work on carpet or upholstery.

This easily matches and in many ways beats the performance of plugged in vacuum cleaners. Very nice compact unit, surprisingly quiet with lots of accessories. Suction easily on a par with a corded (older) dyson we own. Super easy to clean filter even simpler than the older dyson.

This is so much better than dragging electrical cords all over the house. Very happy. Bought a much cheaper machine, and it was not effective, at all. You get what you pay for. I could wish for a bit more suction, and more run time on the battery, but from our limited sample of two machines, this is far, far superior. Easy to get against walls and under furniture. Good selection of tools! Perfect for bare floors.
