I received the product and quickly noticed how well made it was. Installation was a breeze with only four wires, took me about ten minutes, that included me putting the required ends on. I had one question and sent a text to support. They quickly called me back, when I say quick I mean less than 3 minutes. They walked me through the setup wire by wire to confirm it was installed correctly. My start up Amos was 60 on my 3.5 ton unit. Now my start up amps is 24. Generator now powers my entire house with the ac unit.

Does exactly what they claim. Line Rush Amps went from 72 down to 23.8

reduced AC LRA from 70A to 26A can now start central AC using 8750 watt surge generator, love the Bluetooth connection, suggest you really read install directions and watch the install videos not for your novice DIY person, very pleased with results. Received unit less than 5 days after ordered

This device reduced my 3.5 ton central AC startup current to 18.5A. The LRA on my unit is 79A. Not bad! The lights no longer dim when the compressor starts and there is no loud bang. Great product!

Very well made. Instructions are very good. Easy to install. Seems to work as described. Have not tried to start my generator yet for my 4 ton ac, but will try soon. The blue tooth features is nice, but doesnt show same amperage as my clamp on ammeter reading inrush current. It reads higher on inrush and running amps, but at least it reduces current as is supposed to do. 5/22/23 Hooked up my Generac XT8000E generator today, and my 4 ton Lennox started fine with it, along with being connected to my home natural gas supply. My clamp-on ammeter showed starting amps at 34.5A. I am ready now for a power outage.

I have a 20 year old unit, about 2.5 tons. My LRA was reported as 78 amps last time I had my unit PMd by a technician. At that time he tried to sell me a hard start kit for like $400 installed. I decided to learn more about AC units, realized i should definitely take action on lowering my LRA for my aged unit, and came across a recommendation for this soft starter. Installation was easy to me, directions were very clear, but some people might be intimidated by wiring, thats the only reason I rank 4/5 stars. You can find videos on YouTube explaining how to do this. In terms of results, this gizmo took my peak amps from the reported 78A down to 24A! Should definitely help preserve the remaining life of my AC motor. So far so good! (its only been a couple weeks since install).

I have a 3 Ton Carrier unit that is 11 years old now. First thing I did was check the max amperage before any modifications. Mine came in at 68 amps. I then replaced the original capacitor just because and checked again. The max amperage came down to 60 amp. After installing the soft start unit, starting it 5 times per instructions (have to wait a few minutes between each start) and checking, I was shocked! Max amperage was 19 amps!!! I then switched over to my 6000 watt LP generator. It starts the AC with only the slightest change in rpm’s. Wow! Was never able to do this before. I have an oil furnace that runs off the generator but never could use the heat pump or AC. Now I can do it all! The cost of the EasyStart plus generator comes out to about what one would pay for just a larger generator to run the unit as it was. So instead of paying more money for a larger more expensive generator that consumes much more fuel, I can use a smaller generator having less fuel consumption. More importantly, I will have less wear and tear on the compressor. Wish I had this on my unit when it was new. Highly recommended!
