Will be replacing all our hot-burning halogens with these eventually. Only draw back is that they dont seem to have rear illumination - i.e. if you have a colored glass shade on the light (we use these in WAC track lights with burnt orange glass shades) it wont illuminate the whole shade, only the front. (See pictures: 1st is of halogen bulb in shade, illuminating both the front and back of the shade, 2nd is this EcoSmart GU10 LED bulb, illuminating just the front of the shade). Still will change them all out to prevent fire hazard and extend the life of the bulbs. They are dimmable, which is a nice feature.

I have purchased well over 100 of these bulbs in the last few year, they have a good color temperature for most rooms, especially rooms that already have some natural light. They are good quality and they do the job.

THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AT HOME DEPOT WHICH CARRIES THIS LINE OF BULBS. MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT ONE BULB WAS D.O.A. AND ONE DIED WITHIN A MONTH. OTHERS STILL OKAY. THE QUALITY OF THE LIGHTING IS A+. HOW LONG THE BULBS WILL LAST REMAINS TO BE SEEN.

Brighter than the 50w halogens they replace , they have more scattered light, less focused.

Bulbs have a nice color temperature with a good, golden light. On the other hand, if you are looking for a U.S. made product (which I understand used to be the case with EcoSmart), youll need to look elsewhere. These bulbs are manufactured in the PRC.

These start flickering quickly and Totally take away any energy savings that you would gain because you have to replace them often. I have replaced them multiple times with this brand as I bought extra to use down the road but it hasnt been a year and Ive used all my extra bulbs from flickering. Done with them! Ill find a flicker free bulb

These are bright, the light and color quality is good (not too white or too yellow), and the beam angle seems to be pretty wide. A small thing is that they are slightly taller than my prior halogen bulbs. My major issue is not related directly to the product. While they do say that they are dimmable, they will not function properly with my particular range hood (GE JVX5300SJ1SS). On the bright setting, everything looks great. On the dim setting, there is an almost seizure-inducing strobing effect at maybe around 30 or so Hz (just guessing). After finding the info on my hood online, I found a discussion that says they do not recommend LEDs in this hood due to electromagnetic interference with the circuitry. Frankly, thats over my head. Id just recommend looking your hood model up online before purchasing if you are trying to replace a halogen bulb for one of these.

These bulbs fit perfectly in my RV fan. Now it is like having a mini sun inside for the amount of light...but zero heat!!! The old halogens put off way too much heat!

These bulbs flicker when dimmed. Returning for a refund.

Replaced halogen bulbs in a Zephyr hood with these. These bulbs protrude slightly more than the originals, but thats not an issue. They work perfectly on high, but the hood also has a low setting, and there they noticeably flicker.
