EK Tools Circle Punch, 1.25-Inch, New Package

A friends non profit was organizing a fundraiser, and needed some gifts made, so I purchased this punch, so that I may create 300 custom fantasy token coins, to be given away, at a Mad Hatter/ Alice in Wonderland themed party. The coins turned out beautifully. The punch created the perfect size disc every time. The trick is to turn the punch upside-down, so that you are looking directly at the interior metal cutter and frame plate. Place your artwork face up and line up the paper, so that you can see that the art centered, exactly where you would like to see the punch, cut out the shape. Every edge was crisp and precise.

Excellent product. I was hesitant to buy the hole punch because it seemed like could not see and align what punching out. BUT if turn over the punch (to bottom side) can easily center and see what you are punching out before to make sure aligned up. I would just put that into product description or into the photos of product so other consumers know.

I really like this tool. It has a nice weight to it and punches through paper very well. It even has a little latch to keep it closed too when not in use. However, I bought it with the purpose of cutting out artwork to use for my button maker to create 1.25 buttons and the cut outs are too small. When you assemble the paper to the button, the paper does not wrap around the button fully. Their size of the cut out needs to be a bit bigger. Lesson learned.

It was great while it lasted. But it no longer cuts clean circles. Im not so certain that Ill bother replacing it with the same brand. Id like it to last longer

It is very sturdy, easy to use and a great value for my money!

I was using this with a one inch of another brand, on chipboard for the crafts I do. Well on the first piece, the El - Junko brand fell apart in pieces. No more cute R-2 D-2 looking contraption. But this one from EK, an inch and a half, trooped right through I did the whole board in under a minute. Had well established circles exactly how I needed them. Very happy with this brand. However I will warn about others. They arent all alike. EK seems to have a good thing going on with their engineering and QC. Ill take functional over cute any day. Thanks.

I needed this to punch out designs for my button pins. I used to cut out the designs as it was pretty tedious. With this, I was able to punch out 10x faster. It’s actually more fun this way, haha. I did try to hole punch fabric and it did go through some fabric. Thicker fabric did get stuck and I had to wiggle it a bit to set it free...

The circle punch is easy to use and stands up to repeated use- have been using it for months and it is well made.

Bye bye scissors and cramping hands! I ordered this circle punch to make cutting out 1 button templates easier. Because the size of this circle is 1.25 inches (1 1/4) it is the perfect size for using a 1 button maker which will fold over the extra to create a 1 diameter button. The punch is perfect, and a very well made tool! It will come in locked position, but just slide the yellow tab on the bottom to open it up, and start punching!

I hate huge hole punchers. Theyre hard to use without nearly spraining your hand in the process. This one, however, did not have that problem. Its shaped like a clip, instead of using that big, obnoxious button-shaped thing youve got to mash to cut anything. With this punch, you simply squeeze the ends as if it were a clothespin and it smoothly and effectively does the job. No violent mashing of awkwardly button shaped hole punches. Very sleek and easy design. Super happy with it.
