This charging stand was designed for the puck used on the magnetic chargers shipped with Series 6 and earlier Apple Watches. The thinner puck on the rapid charger shipped with the Series 7 cannot maintain a solid connection with the watch during charging. Once I observed the the difference in thickness, I inserted coins in behind the charging puck to keep it close to the watch. (Two US 25¢ coins worked.) It would have been better if the manufacturer provided a precision plastic spacer to make the Series 7 work. Otherwise, they should quit describing this device as suitable for the Series 7.

It was a bit of a hassle to set the charger inside of it. Would make more sense if you could detach it and then put it back together, kind of glad I have small fingers. It has run into a problem where it’s not letting the watch charge, not sure why or how it’s causing this. It (charger) works fine when it’s out of the product but it’s hit or miss when inside so that’s upsetting

Looks great on the nightstand

This is sooo cute! I only have one gripe and that’s why I knocked 2 stars off! I use a sport loop (Velcro) style band and the way the band connects to the watch prevents the watch from sitting flush enough in the screen slot to charge! I had to remove that side in order for it to fit... but without it it fit perfectly. Nbd the sliding mechanism is simple to operate- it would just be nice if I didn’t have to. I tested it with a normal silicone band and it fits perfectly with both ends attached so if you use that style you will be ok. Just not a sport loop or the metal (Milanese or link) loop style. A little beveling would probably fix it. Why 2 stars? Because it seems like a huge oversight to develop this with only one the default silicone band style in mind- it would be different if what I was using was an unusual style but the band I use is a genuine apple band and sport loops/Milanese loops are really popular!
