Greater than one weekThis movie has it all. Christmas (Santa, I know him) is never complete with several viewings during the Christmas Season. I cannot recommend this movie enough. Great cast, its hysterical and really an opportunity for a superb family movie night! I watch this film during the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Truly a feel good movie.

> 3 dayRight off the bat, my wife and I noticed that all the scenes were noticeably darker than the blu-ray release. Distractingly so! The colors were much richer but not enough to offset the Dark Distraction! Im going to see how I can return this to Amazon.

> 3 dayJust wanted to let people buying this know that this is a Blue-Ray disk and it might not work on your computer or DVD player, so unless you have a device that can read Blue-Ray disks, do not get this version.

> 3 dayOnce upon a time on a cold and dark Christmas Eve, an orphaned toddler escaped his crib and haplessly crawled into Santa’s bag of toys, and later ended up crawling out at the North Pole. Santa knew there was something different about Buddy, who would grow to become an inept 6’5” elf, but they raised him as one of their own to adulthood among Santas elves. Realizing he didnt really fit into Elf life, adult Buddy travels to New York, complete with full green elf uniform, in search of his real fam. After a horrible first impression, a DNA test proves his father is an angry man who publishes terrible childrens stories. At the behest of his wife, Dad reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with ridiculously chaotic results. Over time, Buddy learns how to fit into the real world as he continues to teach others about the joys of Christmas. From putting maple syrup on spaghetti to beasted snowball fights, to the mistaken feverish anticipation of Santas visit and an innocent love affair with a surprisingly blonde Zooey Deschanel, Elf is charming, hilarious, and clean as a whistle. Elfs happy ending is sure to lift your spirits with sweetness, humor and all around innocence. Will Ferrell is the perfect casting. Its nearly 20 years old now, but thats not evident in this film. I had no idea Deschanel could sing, but WOW! What a voice! Pick up the soundtrack too and add it to your Christmas collection. Shes mindblowingly amazing.
