These are just as effective as the best tack cloths Ive ever used. I prepared by swabbing everything with Isopropyl alcohol to remove any contaminates, and then using one of these tack cloths to pick up any fibers or particles that inevitably found their way into my work. The end result is a nice smooth surface that only shows the works imperfections.

I have been refinishing my shutters sanding them down and staining them. These tack cloths have been working really well. They come individually wrapped. The size of each cloth is decent. I have been sanding four sets of large shutters and have so far only used one for the job so these last. I start with the shop vacuum and then final cleanup with one of these. These are sturdy and dont fall apart as you are wiping. Overall these work much better than a plain shop rag for surface preparation for painting.

12 individually wrapped 18 by 36 tack cloths come in handy to remove all dust particles before applying a finish to projects. It is so heartbreaking to think you have completed a project only to find that you didnt get all the dust off before applying paint, polyurethane, or lacquer and now have a bumpy mess on your hands. A good tack cloth, carefully used, will definitely prevent that. The cloths work well and do not contain any wax or silicones that could affect how a finish adheres. They are moderately sticky and sweep across the surface without any drag. Handy to have so many ready to use.

We used a couple of these tack cloths for prepping the walls in my daughters house. THey just moved in and the former owners had 4 cats and 2 dogs and there was hair EVERYWHERE. We vacuumed and dusted and scrubbed and vacuumed again and we were still finding hair on the walls. We wiped them down with these and probably captured 99.9% of the hair. They work amazing and are long lasting. We cleaned 10 rooms and hallways with only 4 clothes (we each had one). The painting went without a hairy hitch. I will use these anytime I have to paint walls in the future.

These are necessary to put a finishing touch on many do it yourself projects. I sometimes craft and refinish furniture and always do my final clean with a tack cloth after sanding to get a smooth finish for the stain or sealer. Tried one and it performed as expected on par with other brands I have puexhsed.s Contains one dozen cotton cloths. You would be able to cut these smaller to suit your needs. A good value over similar cloths at the home improvement stores.

I’ve done several woodworking projects over the years and used lots of different tack cloths and this is the best I’ve found. Tacky enough to capture fine sawdust but not so sticky it’s hard to work with, and it even smells nice. I bought a box of 12; hope it stores well because I won’t use them all for this job.

Each one of these little clothes come sealed in a plastic bag keeping it fresh. The cheesecloth material is pre-soaked in a shellac type liquid that is tacky (I guess that’s why they are called “tack clothes”) that sticks to all the fine particles of dust left behind after sanding and brushing off and even vacuuming. Each cloth is folded to about a 6 inch square that can be unfolded multiple times to about an 18 inch square. After each unfolding it’s newly fresh surface can be used to collect the dust off your workpiece until it is covered in dust; and then turn over and/or unfold again and repeat the process. When finished the cloth can be put back into the plastic bag (if you have carefully opened it) for use again later … until it will no longer pick up dust. Then, for safety, toss it into a fireproof container so that any spontaneous combustion does not occur. These pre-made tack clothes are not inexpensive, but they are very time saving and convenient. I’m glad to have them available to use.

These do a good job with prep work. Gets all the excess lint of right before paint. Good to have around the garage.

I sanded a piece i made. The tack clothes was sticky. After i wiped it down, i went over with a microfiber cloth and a lot of saw dust come off. I am not sure it this work.

Maybe too sticky, I was surprised how easily the tacky coating came off the cloth. A bit of reading and this may be normal for this type of dust remover. Unfortunately it really made it ill suited for what I was trying to do and caused me to have to re-clean and sand a piece.
