My house has tile floors throughout and no stairs. This vacuum works great. Its easy to empty with no filters or bags to worry about. Its also easy to store. Thumbs up.

I have been looking for about a year for another vacuum cleaner. I have a very nice Hoover Windtunnel upright and it does a great job, but I bought it when I had carpeting throughout the house. Since hardwood floors arrived and I only have one bedroom with carpet (keeps the noise down) it is not as enjoyable to vacuum the entire house with a larger and heavier vacuum. So my search finally decided on the Eureka NEN110A Whirlwind Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner and I am glad I did. It arrived yesterday after ordering it only Friday, thanks Amazon. Needless to say, I had to take it for a spin. Here is what I can report for the newly arrived. 1. It is pretty. Yes, pretty; I dont like ugly appliances. All the bells and whistles are great, but if the unit is ugly, then I dont want it. You know what I am talking about, you seen other vacuum cleaners that look like they jumped out of a 1950 sci-fi movie. Hello, the commercial vacuum that is short, round and has eyes painted on it, or the Shark Apex or the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift Away Speed Vacuum that looks like a tower that could easily fall over, or almost all Oreck. Oh yes, I know this may step on a toe or toe, but sometimes the truth is ugly and hey, this is my review. But this unit is good looking, racey, futuristic even, and I love the color blue they made it in. 2. Power - plenty of suction power. As a matter of fact I had to adjust back the vacuum power using the handy built in suction adjustment on the hand. No problem with suction power. 3. Ease of use - this is were it really shines. It is around 8 pounds so it is quick and easy to maneuver all over the house. Easy to get down under furniture as the head swivels around, turning and twisting your floors clean. The dust cup is small, but so is the vacuum cleaner, but it is easy to pop out and dump, snap closed and your ready to go. I hate when people whine about having to empty the canister so often, seriously, why do you want to leave all that dirt in the vacuum for days. It even easily rolls over its own power cord. My Kenmore canister that weighed over 20 pounds couldnt even roll over its own cord, it would get stuck and I would have to lift it. 4. The built into the wand brush and crevice tool worked really well also. The wand, the handles plug securely into each other and the vacuum with a nice little snap. Easy to undo also. The auto-rewind on the unit is great too, a nice feature at this price point. The power cord is 16 feet, but if it was possible to have another five feet would be awesome, but I am not complaining, I just unplug and move to another area and plug into a different outlet that is closer to the work area, after all our houses come with multiple outlets. 5. Lifespan, this is always the unknown, but the unit has a one year manufacturer warranty and I purchased 3 more years under the Assurance plan. So I feel I am covered. Time will tell and Ill update these comments if something goes wrong and also if the unit keeps working just fine.

Im a happy camper. This vacuum has the sucking power of my first Eureka (late 1970s) and I love it. It isnt big, the cord isnt long enough, and attachments dont exist but it cleans so very well. On hard floors. This same fantastic sucking power makes it hard to use on wall-to-wall carpet, the picture of area rugs is a clue. If you have shag rugs (really?) lots of carpeted rooms and few hardwood rooms, this isnt your dream vacuum cleaner. Just being able to get the Cheerios off the dining room floor and small pebbles from our entryways makes it a winner for me!

Its a good brand, which is why I continue to buy them; however, it doesnt have the suction of my old Eureka cannister Mighty Mite. I found that at a repair shop and it has been going for about 15 years. Its wearing down, which is why I bought the new one-which I put into a closet until the Mighty Mite totally breaks down.

I bought this vacuum because I’m disabled and I needed an extremely light one. This is so light i do not struggle with it at all. It’s so easy to maneuver all through the house, the emptying bin just pops in and back out no pulling or leaning to make sure it’s in the right spot. The suction was surprisingly good for how small this vacuum is. It does next to nothing in carpet. There’s a switch to bring down brushes and a three slide between carpet, hard floor, and furniture. It is decent on furniture. Great on hard floor and useless on carpet. I also have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats so this vacuum can definitely get it done on hardfloor which is what 95% of my house is. 1 carpeted bedroom remains but not for long! So if you have hardwood floors to vacuum this can handle a surprising amount of dirt and debris. My house is 2000 sqft and 1 full cleaning of all rooms (minus the carpet one) will fill the bin but it’s so easy to empty it doesn’t matter. This would also be a great one for kids bc it’s so light and the vacuum wand is very adjustable in length. So I love it. I wish it did better on carpet because the vacuum I have to keep for the 1 carpet room is heavy and hard for me to use. A great idea to buy for elderly, disabled and kids. Able bodied people can probably find a better hardfloor vacuum but this one is ridiculously easy to use and cheap so there’s that.

Much easier to vacuum under furniture. Emptying the canister gives one a sense of accomplishment and amazement, kinda fun. That the canister is cleaned after each use helps bypass the unpleasant smell of a vacuum with a bag. More economical and earth friendly without the bags. Actually fun so far.

I wanted to love this it’s a great vacuum ect. - the hose is way to short - the power cord is even shorter - self retractable cord.. kinda, it doesn’t have a lot of power to retract the cord has to be perfectly strait to wind in and it only works for about half the length of the total cord. Finally you have to pump and push the cord the remainder of the way. Please note despite all that , I’m keeping it because of the price and the fact that it glides better then the bagged one ,. Oh also has a metal wand instead of the cheep plastic one that always broke!

Updated Review: After struggling with this thing to vacuum my cellar two or three times, I replaced the broken hose on my Hoover and went back to using that on my cellar floor. This vacuum is just too much work for me to use, maintain, and store. Ive retired it to a corner, where it will sit until I can find another home for it. Original review: I bought this to replace my Hoover commercial portapower hand vacuum, the plastic stretch hose on which broke in two at the handle after three years of intermittent use. So, I decided to try something different. The hose on this does not stretch, a plus for me. Ive only used it once so far to vacuum my hardwoods, area rugs, and cement cellar floor. Will take some getting used to. The suction on this thing is phenomenal, due in part to the design of the floor attachment, which is flat and hugs the floor. I read the instructions and experimented with all the settings and combinations on both hardwoods and flat pile area rugs. It works well on my hardwoods using the carpet settings. The hardwood setting hugs the floor too tightly, making it difficult to move. The carpet setting works on no pile area rugs only if you pull the wand towards you. If you try to push it forward, it gets hung up on the carpet, regardless of how you use the settings. It does not work at all on my pile carpets. The hose is a bit cumbersome because its pretty stiff, but Im tall and I can work with it. So, I finished vacuuming and even though the dirt cup was only half full, I decided to empty and wash it. Unfortunately, the dirt cup does not separate from the foam filter housing (you can remove the foam filter, but not the housing), so to wash either one they both get wet. And, when I checked the foam filter, it was filthy and required washing as well. Very cumbersome to work with. Currently, the entire housing and filter are laying in front of my baseboard heater trying to dry. I got this to use on my cement cellar floors, and it appears to be fine for that using the carpet settings. Picks up cat litter, dust, and small debrs. There is a small brush for upholstery, but no decent crevice tool, which I need to clean my dryer screen housing and vents. I do like the retractable cord and that the wand attaches to the machine for storage. I also like that it has wheels and I can easily pull the vacuum behind me. Ill use it for a bit and see if I can work with its shortcomings. I like to keep my vacuum dirt cup clean with each using. Not sure how well that will go because cleaning and drying is a time eater and I have no sink in my basement. Just not a good fit for me.
