I broke multiple needles on my last project due to needles not being sturdy enough to work with thick sweatshirt fabric. These needles had no problem with the thickness and made finishing that much easier. Super important to use needles suited for your fabric, so thankfully have these on hand for the project with trickier fabric.

I think I bought the wrong needle but I used it anyway and it worked. I was supposed to use a Singer needle.

UPDATE: I have found the 90/14 Sharp needles to be perfect due to the fact that it has a bigger thread hole so the sewing machine needle threader will tend to work easier due the hook on the machine threader device having a bigger area to fit through. Anyone who has had trouble with the machine threader working knows exactly what I am talking about. Once you get used to to your machine threader working most of the time, youll find it hard to go back to a smaller sized needle with all the troubles of the threader working on a hit or miss situation. Yes it leaves a bigger hole than the 80/12 but only one size bigger and well worth it - IMHO. The 16/100 denim is perfect for thick denim or anything with seams that have numerous layers of fabric. It is a thick needle so be aware.

I make dog collars and these are by FAR the best needles! I tried Singers Heavy Duty denim amd leather needles and they couldn’t do the job but these will sew through THREE layers of dog collar webbing.
