I had an antique tool box that went through two floods. All the tools received various stages of rust. I soaked the pictured edging tool blade for 24hrs and then used a metal tooth brush on it and received impressive results. There is some pitting but not so much as to be disappointed. This product is worth ever penny if you have small items that can be soaked. I highly recommend it.

I purchased 3 gallons of this product to remove rust from some vintage horse hames (photo 1). It did a great job on the first batch (photo 2) but I was disappointed that the effectiveness was mostly gone for the second batch which has been soaking for two days now and the rust is still at least 30% present. So it turned out to be a fairly expensive proposition $52 to de rust two of the four sets of horse hames(yokes) .

This is hands-down, the best rust removal product I have ever used. Super easy to use. Just dump in a pail and throw rusty tools in there. I like to dig in the dirt and I’m infamous about leaving tools out and not finding them until the following spring, I have thrown away so many tools in the past because there was just no saving them. So I thought I would give this product a try and it is a miracle! I’m not kidding. After 30 minutes the parts that were immersed came out clean. The only thing I would say is I’m going to buy another gallon because I want it to completely cover. I have to turn my tools over for another 30 minutes with just 1 gallon. This product is a wonder!!!!!

The instructions on the bottle say to soak a towel and wrap rusty item with it. That doesnt work very well and its a huge pain in the testiculars. Soaking the item for several hours works incredibly well. Im genuinely blown away. Already bought a second gallon. Im cleaning up a vintage drum kit that was totally rusted. Almost done all the hardware with one gallon of this stuff. It will look brand new when Im finished thanks to this product. Id give a hundred stars if i could.

I bought this to remove the rust out of an old motorcycle tank that was extremely rusted on the inside. I did a lot of reading online about different ways to remove the rust and found that there were many different way to do it. Out of all the ways using Evapo-rust sounded like the easiest. I bought to gallons of the stuff and filled up part of my tank and let it sit overnight. The next morn I flipped the tank to clean the other half of the thank and let it set overnight again. Then I dumped out the liquid and looked in side. What I saw in the tank blew my mind. There was no rust left at all! It made me wish I took a picture of the before and after. This tank had been sitting for over 30 years and was solid rust on the inside but now looks almost new. It makes me want to start a tank restoration service. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone wanting to clean the rust out of their bike tank!

Lucky to have been introduced to Evapo-Rust. Let your items soak overnight or for 24 hours and wash off. Prime, paint or coat as you like. Excellent product.

I bought and used this for the first time to clean up a rusty lathe chuck that was given to me. This stuff was amazing. The chuck was full of grease, oil, and rust. The instructions clearly said to de-grease everything first which I failed to do. I soaked it overnight with the grease still on. The next morning the grease, oil, and rust had turned into a yellowish goo that wiped off. I then rubbed everything down with a scotch brite pad. Everything except two small areas with particularly thick amounts of oil and grease were completely rust free. I soaked it one more time for good measure and I was amazed how well it worked. You can even use it over and over again. I assume eventually the chemical reaction will stop after so many uses but I have not found that point yet.

I have a gas tank that had significant rust in it. There would have been no way to cover up this rust acceptably or easily remove it. After emptying the tank of old gas and letting it dry in the sun I filled it with 2 gallons of this product. As the name says in 2 days the rust had evaporated and was gone. The tank looks like brand new. I rinsed out this product with plain water and again let it dry in the sun. Once gas was back in the tank the rust could not return. Getting a new tank would have been difficult or very costly for this antique. The cost of this product was worth every penny and saved me tons of time and money. I highly recommend this product. It will evaporate your rust problems.

This stuff is safe and simple to use. Works very quickly when new. Sometimes as little as an hours does the job, tougher jobs may take 24hrs or more. I reuse it over and over and with each reuse it gets darker in color and takes a little longer to get results. I had my first jug for almost a year and used it almost weekly. I replaced it even though it still working but slowly and I wanted faster results again. Works great for a batch of small parts that would be impractical to do in the electrolysis tank I use for larger pieces. Gets into hard to reach places like internal threads. It does leave a dark residue that needs to be removed with a wire brush. Seems to also remove oxidation from brass. Highly recommended.
