Sadly Ive been through FIVE different motherboards (MB) now, all with different failures- and still trying. This PSU though, solid and trustworthy through every MB fail (verified via my PSU tester). It even picked up a MB voltage overload on my old case USB 2.0 front panel (not unexpected given modern USB 3.1 protocol). Prevented the MB from starting up until I disconnected the front panel. Probably saved me a few hundred dollars the first time, well worth its price tag. 750w seems to be the new minimum too. Not just 750w total, but what can be delivered via a single cable (which also individually increases via the total rating). Funny since modern PCs consume less power than they did 10 years ago- but whatever because this PSU works reliably.

I am pretty happy with the Super Nova 750. I built a PC for my office with a beefy MSI 2080 Super GeForce and it has not had any issues. I like the fact it is modular; it helps keep the wiring to a minimum. It is also very quiet- the only time the fans get loud is on the initial bootup-- for like 3-5 seconds, then it stays quiet.

I usually buy platinum level psu but since EVGA 850 P2 wasnt available, I decided to take a chance on this newer EVGA psu that came out a few years ago. Its been quiet. I have read where people said theirs was noisy but I hear nothing from mine. The value of the G5 was cheaper than the P2, (I know this because my previous psu was a P2 650, and I have a P2 650 and P2 850 on my other computers). I custom build my computers. Installation was easy, especially since the 650 P2 cables were compatible with this model. NOTICE: Always verify psu cables will be compatible with each other. If you change brands, then the cables will NOT be compatible. But if it is the same brand, then look up on the brands website to see if they are compatible.

Great psu, bought it for my evga 3080 ti. Has more than enough power

everytime im playing a game or just browsing the net, i hear a buzzing noise coming from the power supply. and NO, its not my graphics card, since it didnt do this when i had my old rosewill power supply. its getting to the point that the buzzing is all i notice. DONT BUY!

This is the first time I have used a modular power supply. I feel like a lot of space is wasted with all of the connectors that go on the outside of the power supply. I have a fairly basic desktop PC and I still required all but one of the modular cables to be installed, so theres really not any sort of saving that comes from being judicious about which cables to connect. Also the cables seem excessively long and thick. I ended up filling up a drive pay with loops of unused cable to maintain air flow around the motherboard. With my previous ~2012 power supply I could easily swap it in and out, but with this one I have to disassemble a lot of the case and move some drives to the side so that I can slide the power supply in. My previous power supply was 300 w and fairly low end, and I upgraded to this one because I needed to power a GPU. This power supply works well for that, but in hindsight I dont know that I would have paid extra for a more silent fan in the power supply, because my existing CPU fan, case fan, and GPU fans are all audible and a bit of noise from the power supply probably would not have been noticeable.
