Exo Terra Screen Cover for Hinged Door, 20 to 29-Gallon

I bought this for my 20ga long. The mesh is a metal mesh I was able to use a Dremel to cut a hole for my misting system as well as a cut-out for my radiant heat panel. The middle where it bends has just enough gap to put a temp probe wire through without punching. There is also a small gap at all four corners for wire to fit through without punching if needed. Would purchase again.

Not as thick as I was expecting, but it fits my tank fine and I love being able to open one side or the other instead of taking the whole lid off.

Its a good sturdy cover but in my experience you cant get it wet. I use it to cover my 20 gallon tank with a large Red Eared Slider. Occasionally it will get splashed with water when he goes from his basking dock to the water or from the filter. After a year of use the half that gets wet is starting to rust and deteriorate. This is my second one and I will not be buying a third.

We bought this for our 20 gallon long aquarium where we were temporarily housing our rats. Its strong & sturdy and fit perfectly. My one issue was that it didnt come with clamps so we had to run out to buy them. Otherwise its a great screen cover.

My snake escaped from this top 3 TIMES, even after adding 4 Zilla Cage Clips (one on each corner)!!! I finally tossed it and bought a glass enclosure. This might be ok for a clumsy tortoise or lazy bearded dragon, but DO NOT USE THIS FOR A SNAKE ENCLOSURE!!!

I am sure this top will be fine for my aquarium, if I decide to use it in the future. I ordered it because I planned on making a new area for a pet and changed my mind. It looks nice and sturdy and just what I was expecting.
