If you have a rambunctious animal like my snake, you will need to buy tank clips to lock the top down. The middle can easily be pushed up to allow for escape from the center edges, but the clips are inexpensive.

The screen cover worked out great the hinge in the middle makes it easy to access the habitat without losing all the heat.

Works great, fits my tanks, is as described.

Had to upgrade the turtle tank because shes growing. I only have to lift one side of the cover at a time for maintenance or feeding, eliminating the need to completely take it off and find a place to set it.

Screen not bad for the price

These hinged doors are great for one main reason - the hinge. I make my aquariums into reptile tanks and with this kind of screen I can tape the bottom half on and access everything by swinging the top down. Im turning the tanks on the side so I can use the max vertical height.

I ordered this for my 20 long glass aquarium where my hamster lives. It makes it very easy to flip the lid up and take the ham out of her cage to play, cuddle, or run in her ball. Its convenient to not have to remove the entire lid with both hands and find a place to put it. Its great for feeding, moving furniture, and made it easy to install a hanging hammock from the lid without making it impossible to open the cage while she was sleeping in it. Its pricier than a place screen cover but the features made it worth it for me, and it seems a little sturdier than the plain cage cover that I purchased and ended up returning. I like the extra heft of this lid that makes it very difficult for her to lift. If she gets into a position with good leverage on top of her house in the corner of the cage, I have seen her lift the edge but she is not able to lift it enough to squeeze through. I am pleased with my purchase and hope it lasts a long time. I even paid extra shipping to get it sooner.
