Worked great for filtering the detritus and dino when vacuuming my sand bed. Make sure to pre-soak these in ro water before using. I use these as a one time use filter sock.

Having a freshwater sump is not an easy task, at first anyways! I’m learning through trial and error but it’s got a lot of moving parts, and a lot of differences vs a salt sump. I have tried five brands of sump socks and these have been my favorite. They’re catching much more debris and gunk than other brands and they’re more affordable! I’ll be investing in several more sets in the near future. Beginner tip: always, always have 2-4 sets of socks. Cleaning them is a task and they take time to dry so you always want a fresh clean set ready to go at a moments notice! And in my experience so far the over 200 micron work best
