The 5/16 link chain is 14 feet long and comes with one 5/16 clevis mounted hook on each end. One hook is a grab hook (to hook onto chain links) and the other is a slip hook (for general hook tasks) for a wide variety of applications. Both hooks have industry approved rating information embossed on their bodies. Can be used in the logging industry as well as automotive hauling. Both chain and hook are heat treated and have a yellow zinc chromate coating for corrosion resistant usage in outdoor and indoor applications.

Item received quickly following order date. First impression was the chain looks and feels to be heavy duty. This 14 footer rated for 4900 lbs is perfect for dragging tree trunks out of the woods after felling. I cant always get my trailer and/or log splitter in to the area of some of the trees I cut for firewood. This 14 heavy duty chain is perfect for dragging the trunks/big limbs out with my 4 wheeler! This chain saves me a lot of time and physical labor and is a great investment at a $43 price point!

What can I say, a chain is a chain. It is sturdy and I especially like the slip hook on one end thus allowing me to pull logs and limbs without losing them because I couldn’t get the chain wrapped tightly enough on loose limbs and such. I have a large area of trees behind the house, and there is always deadfall and lightening got a few of them so it seems that I’m always cleaning up back there. The slip hook makes it a much easier job to gather up limps. The 5/16 inch chain is quite suited for the task.

Keep it wrapped around the front bumper of my tractor. If I need to clear a trail or haul a log out of the forest its a piece of cake with this chain. Thats what its made for and is plated so it doesnt rust as easily as standard steel chains will. So far so good.

This chain is extremely nice with high quality wields in the links in high quality hooks on the ends. The finish is also very nice and seems like it should hold up to rust very well if left in bad conditions. I have no problem trusting this chain at all for extremely heavy duty applications (I am extremely hard on chains) and despite being very heavy duty and long The chain is also noticeably lighter than other chains of this size and specifications. Definitely impressed by the chain and I can highly recommend it.

I acquired this chain to use with my tractor for pulling fallen trees out of the woods. It is a good length for that work and the right strength. It is handy with the grab hook on one end and the slip hook on the other end. Contrary to the description, the chain is not coated in oil (which I was glad for). A good value.

This chain is like any others that I have and so it has multiple uses, It has its pros and cons as well. There is nothing bad to say about this chain as it is functional and will serve its purpose for many years with proper care.

I got this chain for general use around our farm. Its worked a few light pulls so far. It did just fine.

This is actually a really nice well built chain. It comes zinc plated and isnt covered in oil when you get it. Had it hooked up to a 6500lb tractor gave it a couple jerks. The bush refused to come out... But the chain did excellent. The slip hook grabbed a hold tight with zero issues. Gonna buy a couple more of these as there super handy.
