> 3 dayThis was my second attempt to fix my cracked ipad screen. The first, more popular kit I tried, of a different brand with a name suggestive of eastern philosophy, didnt work right out of the box. This kit worked quite well - when it was new I would say it was 95% as good as the original screen in terms of response to touch, sensitivity, etc. However this kit came with almost no instructions, nor links to videos to follow. Prior experience together with other generic videos helped, but did not address a feature specific to this kit - along one side of the screen is a stiff ribbon cable that connects to the main plug inside, but it just didnt seem to fit anywhere when trying to close the case. I eventually got it tucked in, but it involved folding said ribbon, and that side of the screen never stuck down to the case as firmly as it should - the adhesive would let go and it kept popping loose. I believe that the eventual failure after about 3 weeks was due to this area being worked while handling the device, until it began to behave like the other brand I had tried, with a lot of crazy overreactions to gestures and lots of jumping around and flashing screens, zooms, and other annoying reactions that make it impossible to use the ipad as intended. I may try another one of these, but not until I can get more information on proper installation - specifically how to deal with that side connector that didnt want to fit easily inside the case. With a good instruction sheet, this could be a very nice kit! As it is, its ultimately a frustrating waste of money.

> 3 dayIf you know what you’re doing, this is a great option for an iPad screen. Comes with everything you need for a replacement, and seems to be decent quality glass. No issues so far, and it has been months.

> 3 dayI’ve tried a few times before to replace the screen of an Apple device and failed resulting in the device going to the trash. Nonetheless, I decided to try it one more time since a screen replacement job for an Ipad 5th gen would cost me $200, almost the price of a new Ipad. The screen comes with several tools and they all worked well except the tweezers that failed to close in alignment. I followed a youtube video and the only other tool I needed was a hairdryer to soften the glue and help remove the broken screen. This screen already comes with a home button and the glue to stick to the frame. Because it is really hard to remove all the previous glue, this new screen doesn’t settle in as nicely as an original. The lower right corner bulges out a bit as if it would eventually raise and come off. So I bought a big Ipad bumper that keeps the screen in place and provides protection so I don’t have to do this again. The entire screen replacement process took about 2 hours, and I went very slowly and carefully watching the video multiple times and working on removing the screen. The end result is great! The touchscreen works perfectly and I only spent about $25. It’s been a few weeks and no screen glitches or dead spot yet.

> 3 dayIt went together really well. The touch screen is a little slower in the response then the original and the home button cant scan your finger print.

> 3 dayBought, worked great, used it for a couple days, first time taking it from my home to my car, and open it up in the car to connect to my radio, and screen is cracked. Had it in a protective case, only thing I can think is the glass going from my home 70 degrees, to outside 32 degrees caused it, very thin glass, and obviously not good quality as the glass should easily be able to withstand temperature changes.

Greater than one weekI purchased one of the cheaper screens first and the digitizer was glitchy. I got this screen next and mannnn, the quality was so much better. The ribbon cables even sat in the connectors more flush. Def would recommend
