Done a few screen replacements. Always have a bad time getting the lower bottom right to stick well. This ones no different. I assume it’s just the model of iPad. But nonetheless, it works just fine. Tools included are great.

Had no issues installing. Understand the included button does not work for touch ID - but everything else went very smoothly. Only minor complaint is getting the ribbons on the lower right to stick / lineup - but thats with all of these things.

Product is very poor quality. The screen cracked immediately after installing it. Do not recommend this product. Don’t waste your money.

iPad was working before I installed screen . Now it needs the lcd . Glass is very brittle and adhesive was subpar . Can’t return because it’s already installed. Now I need a lcd and another glass replace . Spend the extra $ and get a better quality one . Should have know better . Get what you pay for .

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* UPDATED *=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Worked find for 2 1/2 months, then the ghost touches started. The iPad was soon rendered unusable. I am afraid to turn it on because it has a mind of its own - apps open, links in browser pages get selected... I am worried that it will open the Amazon app and start ordering random items. I opened the case back up to check for pinched cables but could not find anything obvious and could not fix it. I ordered another digitizer (different brand). My plan is to repair it and quickly trade it in on a 2020 iPad 8th gen. Rating changed from 4 stars to 1 star. The original review is below. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=* UPDATED *=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Be aware that this comes with no instructions. The best way to learn how to do this is YouTube and there are several videos out there that show the general steps that are required to complete the repair. I had a question specifically about the FixCracked kit, but if you try to find FixCracked on the net you will come up empty. There is no website and I could not find any info from third parties. Luckily Amazon offers the ask a question function. Many of the reviews here on Amazon mention glue One review recommended getting B7000 glue because the glue that comes with the kit is inferior. But the kit does not inclued a tube of glue. I wanted to know if the black material around the outside edge on the inside surface of the replacement screen was double sided tape, and the answer is yes, it is. You need to use the supplied tweezers to remove the backing. I was unsure if I needed to clean all of the old adhesive off of the ipad case. I thought maybe leaving it there would help the new tape to stick. In the end my anal tendencies caused me to scrape all of the old adhesive off the case perimeter and clean it with alcohol. I watched several videos of iPad gen 5 screen replacement procedures. In one of them 2 mm double sided tape was used all around the perimeter of the case in addition to the tape on the replacement screen. In another video that same 2mm tape was used only on the right side near where the digitizer and the home button cables are. In the end I used this second method. The cables may prevent the tape that is attached to the replacement screen from coming in contact with the ipad case. This gave me great results, though I dont know if I would have had similar results without the 2mm tape. I was concerned because in one of the youtube vids it was stated I always have problems getting it to adhere over here in the lower right where the cables are. I did not have that problem with the 2mm tape. I used Kaisiking 2mm / 3mm x 25M Phone Repair Tape available from Amazon. I also put a strip of the 2mm tape around the perimeter of the LCD screen before putting the digitizer on. I noticed that there had been some adhesive there that I had to peel off. In the end I didnt even take the backing off the tape so it didnt adhere to the digitizer screen so I dont know if this helped anything at all. I reused my old home button because every video I saw did this. I understand that using a new one will disable the touch ID function. It was not hard to do, just be careful removing it. I put a drop of gorilla glue on either side of the bracket and it seems to have done the trick. Oh - and one thing I didnt understand is that where that home button connects to the ipad there is a tiny bale that flips up to release the cable. I pulled mine out without releasing that bale. It is a miracle I didnt destroy it. It wasnt until I tried to reconnect it that I discovered I could not do it without flipping that up. So all in all I am happy with the result. If I had to do it again I dont think I would change the way I did things.
