I have gone through 3 field piece stick meters in 4 years. 2 33s and now a 36. I kept buying them because i have a few attachments that wont work with out one. So when i bought my last 36 i bought one of these to keep in my bag. I figured it was worth it if i beat this one up and broke it. It was half the price of the 36. Now i wont use the field piece . This meter reads caps instantly. This meter will actually register starting amps. This meter will not show false voltage readings. I keep it in a side pouch and it gets bang up still works like a champ.

This does not measure DC amps as it is supposed to do. It was a waste of money.

I bought this for HVAC electric work. Once the meter arrived I used it in the shop with poor results. This meter failed to read some low voltage controls on gas furnaces, air handlers, ext. Our low end UEI meters were able to read the voltages. Possible this was a faulty unit but I returned it anyway.

For A/C work, it does everything you need it do. But it needs a magnetic on the back.
