Greater than one weekThese clips are made very well and the threaded connection fits very snug on the Fluke TL175E test leads. Clips themselves have fairly strong springs so you dont have to worry about arcing when connected to hot wires.

> 3 dayThese fit TL175s perfect, dont fit T75s. Notice in my pic how the backs of the alligator clips are rubber insulated.

> 3 dayWhen I first saw pictures of this thing I wasnt quite sure what to make of it. Now that I have one I can tell you that it is spring-loaded and at the other end is basically a button you press to open it, then you catch the wire in the opening and release so that the wire is then clipped onto. Your banana jack plugs in at a 45 deg angle. I was surprised at how strong the spring is, but after using it I can see that it has to be like that to penetrate insulation. I believe I saw a spec that it can be used on 30-14 gauge wire, but I am here to tell you that I was able to use it on 12 and 10 gauge wire as well! It took a bit of extra squeezing to make sure there was good contact, but it worked. I imagine if you had really tough marine-grade stuff there might be a problem with those thicker gauges. This was important to me because I was troubleshooting a circuit in my car and the wire is 12-gauge for that circuit. This clip served me well there and I really dont know what I would have done without it. By the way, you might want to take a look at their model TP82 just in case that might work better for you.

Greater than one weekLike everything else from FLUKE, you can expect top quality but youll always pay a premium price for what you get. These alligator clips are high quality but at a very steep price. I personally think theyre worth more like $9.95 for the pair. But theyre great, nevertheless.
