Carbon is a great addition to the filtration process if your wanting clear water no questions asked!!! I had spent days researching the necessity Of Carbon!!!!!! The results were a little in settling as it clearly stated on many websites that carbon would cover up issues in the tank and Carbon also removes Minerals that are important to your fishes health!!! I recommend not wasting money as I no longer do maybe add more plain biological filtration instead or bio matrix all better than carbon for your fishes health!!!!
